Mount to witness properly

I have a S&W M&P 15 sport ar rigle and I want to put a primary arms 30mm red dot on it. Anyone have a similar setup and kniw which mount i should buy and recommend lower 1/3 or absolute cowitness?

Not sure of model # but they have a riser and cantilever type that are see through mounts.
I'm thinking that a basic low mount should get you close? If you want to use the iron sights through the optic.

Usually PA has mount packages listed with each optic and they will tell you whether it's full or lower third cowitness.

Most of the PA brand mounts have "good for the money" reviews.
