If you stick some marshmellows on the end of it does it toast them after you fire a few rounds?
Put the kiddies to Bed, its time for some gun porn! At least it is to me!I just picked up the Thompson M1 I won through GOAL's latest 20 gun Raffle. Came with a nice case and 1 pre-ban High Cap mag. Booyeah! A big thanks to GOAL, you guys are great. You dont get enough credit for what you do for us Gun owners, and I mean that not just because I won a gun.

I put a Swiss style handguard because I didn't really like the fishgill one.
Does that thing come with a rubber/plastic sheath for it so it doesnt tear up your range bag?

After recomending Mosin Nagant to many new shooters as a cheap gun and some what cheap ammo for larger caliper rifles. I broke down and bought one myself 127.00 to my door. From what I have seen locally for this price range I would consider this a new gun. When I peaked down the barrel I was shocked to see a nice shiny sharp barrel. Its a 1927 russian. I have been trying to decypher the markings
There are many triangles with a arrow in it. So most parts are at least russian.
One mark on the stock has me thinking. The mark is very faint, looks much like the polish mark. Oval with 11 in the center? Also there are a ton of R's allover the stock.![]()
Ray I have been racking my brain looking for more on line reference to the markings. On the stock, @ the end of the comb just in front of the but plate there is a cluster of marks. Thats where the polish looking mark is.
The stock is definatly not the correct one as it does not fit the rear of the notched reciever well. Also seems to have a repair done on the left side like it vame from a rifle with scope mount. Still all in all its in very good condition. So much betterthan anything I seen locally for the price point. The polish looking mark looks alot like the preasure or blackpowder proof mark on the barrel. I need some sort of magnification to really see it. I got to get me one of those magnifying head sets.
I've got another mosin nagant 'capture' for the month, so I'm right there with you mac1911
I got both of these combloc darlings last week and finally got a chance to clean them up. Romanian PSL with PSO-1 scope and a Tula updated Dragoon. A "Foremost Ordnance Factory (of the) USSR at Tula 1927. It has the dragoon sling mounts, but the updated leaf sight of the reworked dragoons. 7.62x54R to bring in the new year.
