New acquisitions for June 2013

Figured we'd start one of these threads with an actual acquisition!

HK P30 V3, been wanting one for a long time. You put this in your hand and angels sing.(until you pull the DA trigger ) Going to run it a bunch and decide whether to change it out to a V1/V2/V4.

Funny thing is I don't really need it since I thought the company screwed me over and bought a completed one already.

Still not sure if I'm going to keep it and buy another psl parts to make a carbine or karma give it away.

Double dipping (posted in a Garand thread), but nice enough to post here as well

Ordered this bayonet just after ordering a Garand this winter - in fantastic shape - scuffed a bit on the hand guard, but not a bit of rust anywhere and the blade is impeccable.

I know the scope is on backwards, it won't fit in the case the right way, but it is easy to change it back.





And yes I know the Silver Bear stuff is crap. It is what I have and what was available. Once I get this running I'll reload for it.

Now I get to go to China for 3 months and have NOTHING resembling a firearm in my life unless it all goes very south. Here is hoping.

Guns aren't new this month, but the refinishing is. Top one is my blacked out Colt Gold Cup (graphite black cerakote) and the bottom is my custom build (sniper/graphite blk cerakote)

Got a great deal on a trap gun today - Browning BT 99. This is actually closing in on being able to be listed in the C&R bound book, but it's in immaculate condition. It felt pretty good to go to KTP and say I was interested in a trap gun and have the sales clerk ask, "A semi-auto or one of the high end guns?" and be able to answer, "High end section. Low end of the high end section, but high end nonetheless."

Ignore the fact that the case says Beretta - it fits the Browning and was a nice case for short money.

Just picked up my EMF Great Western II Custom and holy crap is it sweet! The Custom has all the parts inspected and hand polished at the factory. Then it is sent out to Doug Turnbull for the CCH (Color Case Hardening). The wood grips are incredible as is the color case hardening done by Doug Turnbull. After seeing both real color case hardening on the EMF and the fake CCH on my Uberti there is really no comparison.

I bought this off the classified forum. Mossberg 42M(b) from around 1940, no serial numbers back then so it hard to tell when it was built. Now if I could just find some 22 ammo. .
