New Acquisitions for Sept 2013

100% matching duffel cut Danish 1892 M1889 Krag-Jorgensen in 8x58r. This piece was on my bucket list - it is in memory of my grandfather who carried one for Denmark from 1929-1933 (my Avatar is his induction photo). Took me years to find a perfect one. Most have disappeared as Germany collected most of these rifles when they disarmed Denmark in early '41 and brought them back to Europe for use with second line troops and prison guards.

Sorry not the best pics; at night in the kitchen. Bore cleaned up very nicely, much better than the pic.

Gotta love finally getting the perfect rifle. Congratulations and thanks for sharing the background with us. She's a beaut!!

I am sure your Grandfather is watching over you with such pride seeing this. Awesome!

This just showed up at my house. Wife just sent me a phone pic, better pictures when I get home.

Bonus 1911! Purchased it last night from a fellow NESer. Can't wait to get them both on the range.

New to me revolver

I bought this off the classifieds from a member. It's a Smith & Wesson 64-5 dao police gun with factory bob job. Brought it to the range yesterday , shoots great and pretty accurate. IMG_0802.jpg IMG_0804.jpg IMG_0806.jpg

Actually picked this up the first week of September, but better late than never I guess.
Got this M&P 40c with stippled grip and two holsters used from Four Seasons for a very fair price.

Holy Cow, you don't see these around much at all; like winged unicorns they are - nice pick up. I don't know about you, but these just scream "SBR" at me over and over :) An H&K MP5K-PDW SBR (not full auto of course) is on my bucket list...

Now that is just plain cool!

Okay folks... my oldest inheritance yet...

Collette System Parlor Pistol, Jongen Bros., Liege, Belgium. Gravity fed needle gun from the mid-1850's.

ETA: 10.5mm (.41 cal) bore with aggressive rifling. Used self-contained cartridges with the primer and powder inside the bullet (like the early Volcanic)

Collectors had it, I snagged it. Along with a full upper to finish my AR Build, ammo, and a blank mind when it comes to explaining to the wife why I spent so much money.
