My first AR15, just picked it up yesterday. It's a stag model 3 with promag flip up sights.

I took this with my cell phone so the quality sucks, I forgot my camera at work.

Tim,

Looks like a Mustang Cobra with a Cervinis front bumper in the Avatar? What's done to the car? I'm guessing it's a 94 GT with a Cobra hood and Cervinis front bumper? Yes, I'm a former Mustang Owner. Back in the day I had a 96 Cobra that I put in a Vortech S-Trim supercharger and about $15,000 in mods. God, I miss that car. Nothing like 420 RWHP!

Its a 94 gt, have pretty much every bolt-on, and a lot of suspension work. It made 242 RWHP/283RWTQ with stock heads cam and bottom end, ran the 1/4 in 13.9 with the stock suspension, still yet to run with new setup.

NES AR-15 built up to be used in Hi-Power Service Rifle with a WOA upper (thank you Derek) and a Giessele 2 stage service trigger.

Is September "Buy an AR-15 month"? Or is it just that everyone is getting or finishing building theirs at the same time? Either way, I like it.

It's because stuff is starting to become available again and not at the inflated prices a few months back. [wink]

I just got myself a new Remington today!

(Getting the new house fixed up has been burning through my cash, so this is as close as I'm gonna come to a new gun any time in the near future [sad])

I know the feeling. Home improvement sucks. You know you need to do it, but it still sucks. Mainly because every where you look you're spending a "House Unit" (as M1911
calls it) which is about $1000 in cash down the toilet for each unit.

Jeremy, nice! It's nice to be able to purchase something that goes bang with out filling out a bunch of forms and getting a background check!

You laugh. Back in the early 1980s I rented a Ramset to do some work at my house. Before the rental place would sell me the cartridges to go with it, they required me to show a LTC or FID. To this day I wonder if they were just morons or if it was really "the law."

Gary, I'm pretty sure it was the law in the 1970s-1980s. At some point they got removed from the ammunition law, but I don't know when that happened.

Really? Interesting. [time passes]...

C. 140 § 129C(a) was in place at least by 1981, as it is referenced in COMMONWEALTH v. SAMPSON, 383 Mass. 750 (1981). There is also an early case, COMMONWEALTH v. JONES. 372 Mass. 403 (1977), that mentions 129C(a) though it doesn't specifically mention the text, so it could have been different at that point.

Rem. Ammo Tool

In the early 70s it was quite common to issue Special Permits to tradesmen using ammo tools. I had mine issued to me by a salesman from Renner Tool Co.. It stated I was qualified to safely use their stud gun and it allowed me to purchase their ammo. Their only agenda was having me purchase more of their ammo for the stud guns we were using. I wonder if Home Depot does the same now? Not.....

I got a 10/22 this month also.

This one is used with a Butler Creek barrel and a bunch of Volquartsen parts. The scope is a Bushnell Banner and Burris rings. Obviously the scope isn't great but the price on the whole thing made it a hell of a deal.

(Don't mind the M14 mag. I needed a support.)

I also bought this.

Sig says these are hand fitted and it looks like they're right.
