New acquisitions for September 2010

I went to a couple of local shops Saturday morning... I hit State Line in Mason and then Pelletiers in Jaffery. Sitting in the back of a cabinet at Pelletiers was this 1976 Colt Lawman MkIII 2 inch snubbie.

It's got about 90% original bluing and the original matching number stocks. I almost didn't buy it but for less than $300 I couldn't say no.

Bought my first pistol from J&G at the start of the month. Sig P6 German police trade-in--ugly on the outside but not much shooting wear. After encounters with a friendly gun shop needing IT work, and some helpful former P6 owners, I now have quite a pile of hardware. The Garrity IWB is beautiful and must have cost the original owner a pretty penny.

nice AK's! One is never enough! how is the wasr2? I've heard the century builds with non-chromed barrels are comparable to a low end ar15 as far as accuracy goes

Anyone in need of a "hunting" stock ?

Just yesterday I've got my hands on a deactivated early Rock-Ola. The furniture of that one will go onto the Winnie.

That stock certainly does look strange on a carbine. Kind of defeats the purpose of "carbine"!

Do you like the push-button safety more than the lever-style? I always wondered why they changed that.

Not a gun, but I did just get a Hornady LnL AP [smile]

I'd post pics, but that's lame. It looks just like everyone else's.

On a budget this month, plain vanilla Marlin 60...

...and a range bag with so many pockets and organizers I'm gonna lose stuff in this thing...

The Marlboro gun show ROCKS!! I found a wish list topper that was actually affordable! Dealer picked it up in a purchase of 77 guns from an older gentleman raising some cash. All original, 2 mags, cleaning brush, gas tube scraper, original book, box marked with serial number to the gun and even the original onion skin slip from the 1988 purchase!! H&K P7 M8...enjoy...I know I will...

Good lord, I'd love to find one of those in MA that isn't listed for silly money. Closest I got was a PSP at a show, but whoops, out-of-state dealer who can't actually sell it.

Incomplete sentences are a pet peeve of mine. (I can play, too!)

To keep mildly on topic, I decided that shooting was a really expensive hobby, so I figured I'd find a nice, cheap one to compliment it. I purchased a Nikon D80 DSLR with the kit 18-55mm lens last month off a coworker, and this month I bought a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8.

So, like I said, a nice, cheap hobby. [smile]

Sorry to make an OT post, but technically his post had a subject verb and object and is a complete sentence. Also, you are completely allowed(by English grammar) to start sentences with and, but, or because, despite what your English teaching in school may have told you.

Two S&W 442 Pro's. I learned online that S&W started making 442's with no internal lock and pre-cut for moon clips so I asked Carl at Four Seasons to order them (SW SKU178041). Apparently Carl thought it was interesting too so he ordered a few for his shop.

Each 442 comes with 3 moon clips. The gun fires fine without the moon clip too:

Look Ma, no lock!

P.S. The model is also eligible for the SW $50 rebate

Nice!!

Took advantage of the big deal @ Four Seasons and picked up a Ruger SR9c. The picture's not of mine, but I swear it looks just like it.
