Picked up a pelican 1750 for transporting junk around. Have a small one I got for free that I'm setting up for my nv equipment. I might get another big one for a pair of AR's.

it feels pretty good, I wont know until i get it to the range if its staying on or not. I like the idea of how inexpensive it is if you need a railed 1911 in a pinch..

If you put a spring around the piston and shorten the carrier you can get rid of the of the buffer.

Just did some upgrades to my HD shotty still into it less than $230..

Here is the aim surplus steal for $319 shipped. It has serious holster wear in places. I just finished Wolfe springs in the frame still have slide to do but waiting to see if I can find a deal on sights. Also M60 have me a 20 round mag for it the notch needed filing to fit and could use a new spring.

Sucks if you are not wearing hearing protection too. I did the stupid thing of dry firing the thing as a function test, quickly realized that the receiver is much much louder when it is that close to your ear.
