James Reeves has the new Heckler & Koch VP9K and VP9F, part of the new VP9 A1 series. The H&K VP9 A1 family brings several exciting upgrades to the table, but how does it stack up against the original VP9? In this in-depth video, we break down the new features, including the enhanced trigger, customizable grip, and optics-ready design. We also compare the compact VP9K to the original in a head-to-head shooting accuracy test. If you’re wondering whether the VP9 A1 is worth the upgrade, this video has the answers.

Where's the optic ready P30? HK ignoring modernizing their USP lineage and jumping to the striker cool kids table is disappointing.

Just more of HK being lazy. They are slowly becoming Glock and resting on their laurels.
With that said, I still want a USP 45, Mark 23 and a UMP.
In all fairness, HK makes a lot of shit compared to most manufacturers. Glock literally just makes a hundred versions of the same gun they engineered in the 70s. Not a fair comparison.

Shit review. Reeves literally reviewed the 2020 update VP9 and pretends to have forgotten about it in this review. Comes off as lazy and/or disingenuous to compare the pre-2020 VP9 to the A1 and act like the updated post 2020 VP9 isn’t a thing. That said, I am interested in the VP9K. Just wish HK would apply the K treatment to the P30. I’d buy both but I’d carry a P30K with 15rd factory flush fit mags. I like the ergos of both and the HK finger grooves work for me, but they were a welcome departure with the gen 5 Glocks as the Glock finger grooves suck for me.

Its why I said slowly.
Yes Glock makes the same gun over and over.
But look how long it took to get a civilian MP5.
Yes, they have 2 rifles. But they are not affordable for most and shouldn't really be counted.
So that brings them to a pistol only manufacturer for most of the population.

They haven't updated the USP like Glock doesnt change anything really.
With exception to the HK 45. And like the P30, they havent updated it to be an optics version.

And like sig and Glock the are making incremental updates, HK is doing the same to vp9 that count as nothing but another SKU

The cc9 is just an updated skinnier version of the vp9sk. Nothing new there except jump on the bandwagon way too late and pawn it off on the public to say look we are doing something

Nevermind the bastard child of the VP40 that no one heard anything about.

They still sell the USP because it’s iconic. The P2000 was the evolution of the USP, and the P30 is the evolution of the P2000. I agree that an optic-ready P30 would be amazing, but it’s probably not a priority unless there’s a government or agency bid for it and they are guaranteed the revenue. Also, the CC9 is far from a VP9SK. It’s modular, for one, very skinny, and by most accounts really nice to shoot.

Yes the USP is iconic. Some may say the Glock 17 is as well.
The p2000 isn't really an update. Different cut slide, smaller form factor. P30 is the same boat, although it does offer varying sizes from sk to long slide. I'll give it that. In that way, is the closest to the USP.
Like I said the only real remotely close upgrade is the HK 45. HK themselves said that was supposed to be the successor to the USP.
And yet they've done barely anything to it. Nevermind the rarity of the magazines for the full size. It's a pretty much dead gun now. Nothing to ground breaking about it. Too little too late again just like the CC9.
And if they truly gave a shit about the modular aspect of it, they would've supported it straight out of the gate like Walther did with the PDP.
But one can almost guarantee it will follow in the same footsteps of the VP9.

The only company that's nailed modularity is Sig sadly.
Walther is in 2nd place, but the aftermarket doesn't really seem to want to adopt it for some reason.
Then there's Beretta with the APX and AREX with the delta gen 2 line.
There is one more, but it escapes my mind at the moment. And it isn't Zev.

I love my P2000, and it is my EDC -- I own a Glock 19, but I don't carry it, and I'm not a fan. I am more of SA or DA/SA. Thinking about the HK V9 A1k.
