New Smilies

Ah, I never thought to right-click them and check properties because most of the other forums I frequent have their own native menus of smilies. I thought this thread was announcing the availability of new ones for a local table here, and that I just couldn't find the link to the list, hence my questions.

It is very bad form to steal the bandwidth from other servers to use their smilies here (it is the bandwidth usage that costs $$$), so if Derek can implement some locally, that would really be best.

Well, I FINALLY figured it out!!!!

Unless a user goes to the User CP, clicks Edit Options, then used the dropdown menu to select "Standard Editor - Extra Format Controls", the smilie selection on the right of the text input window is not there. That is why I couldn't understand where you guys were getting them!!! Of all the forums that I am a member of, this is the only one whose default setting disables emoticons, so that's why I didn't find this before.

I don't really know if I'm ever going to use the though?

I assume it's to label a forum troll. Being a person who picks fights in a forum thread. (ie: "Glocks suck" OR "9mm is for people who squat when they pee!" )

Thank god, not much of that goes on here (and when it does Its for the sake of humor, and we all seem to get it). It happens all too often in other forums.
