Paul Harrell Has Pancreatic Cancer

Let's hope it's the rare kind that's treatable/cureable. Steve Jobs had that kind and chose homeopathic meds and didn't get real meds.
He also chose a liver transplant.

"Curable pancreatic cancer" is generally an oxymoron, but the Whipple surgery is geometrically interesting even though it only buys some time.

Medical bullshit words I find amusing:

"Weird trick"
"Makes <insert name of specialty> mad"
"Before the video is taken down"
"That they don't want you to know"
"This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease." FDA disclaimer below ad telling you what it intended to treat
"Free" linking to a form with a space for your credit card number

M1911, you're right. Chemo IS poison. I've had it twice and it killed the cancer both times and left me alive. I was not expected to survive since no one else ever had and MOST people are happy that I did. I hope Paul Harrell will fare as well.
The fellow who said that — that chemo is like giving people as much poison as possible without killing them — is an oncologist and cancer research scientist. That reality is behind the drive to find better treatments driven by genomics, that will hopefully be more targeted and have less side effects. Of course, years after he said that, we still aren‘t there yet.

The ones bolded here can actually be legitimate, especially since 2020.

Also, testosterone treatment makes PCPs mad. … unless you’re a girl. They’ve been lowering what the “normal” range is for years. So as long as you have the testosterone level of an 80 year old man, you’re healthy and don’t need treatment.

Crazy a guy like him who's been around for so long, does quality content and is so well known has only just recently reached a million subs and only because of his circumstances and because others made it a thing. Theres kids doing basic landscaping, literally just cutting grass and doing clean outs that have a million plus. How is that possible?

" An anti-parasitic drug has shown the ability to stop pancreatic cancer in its tracks, preventing the initiation, progression and spread of the disease in genetically engineered mice.

The groundbreaking research, published in the journal Oncotarget , used two different mouse models to confirm the drug mebendazole was effective at slowing or stopping the growth and spread of the early and late stages of one of the most lethal cancers in the world. “We think that mebendazole could have a role in all stages,” said Gregory Riggins, professor of neurosurgery and oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. “It was particularly effective for pancreatic cancer that was detected early.”"

"Notably, for the two derivatives fenbendazole and mebendazole, the bioinformatic tool highlighted a few previously underexplored cancer-related targets having very high probability scores, namely MAP kinase p38 alpha, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) and the tyrosine-protein kinase ABL [106]. Further in vitro and in vivo studies in PC and also in additional tumor models are needed to validate these predictions, in view of the potential repurposing of benzimidazole-based anthelmintics in oncology."

Meh. I liked him early on, but I think he has some opinions driven by nostalgia rather than logic (e.g., how he thinks his old 1980s web gear is better than modern chest rigs, and how a 20” A2 is the pinnacle of defensive carbine, etc.), and I tired of his arrogance. Nor do I appreciate his predilection for putting guns in pockets without a pocket holster. YMMV.

I do have a great deal of sympathy for anyone dealing with pancreatic cancer. Cancer is terrible to begin with and pancreatic cancer is one of the worst.

Paul has some takes I don't agree with, one being he thinks .25 is better than .32 ACP and he formed that opinion after shooting a Beretta Tomcat, which is easily the worst .32 currently made.

He also never did do an ammo test I emailed him once to request and offered to send him the ammo. He did respond and says he does reload, but prefers to use factory ammo as that's what everyone else can buy. He was intrigued by the idea tho.

It was two round balls in .38. Wanted to see him test on the meat target and give his thoughts on if it's a viable self defense ammo. The issue was it's something that can only be reloaded, no commercial manufacturer makes this ammo anymore.

I've been through that nightmare personally. My only regret is trusting my PCP and specialists as long as I did. The more questions I asked the more clear it was they were using decades old data that was not only criminally out of context but since disproven.

Which is why I always get a kick out of people who blindly trust doctors. Want your pcp to lie straight to your face? Talk about testosterone. Good chance they'll do it right out the gate.

A T Shirt that supports Paul if anyone is interested...Kahr Arms just shared this on their Facebook page.
