Yours is certainly the highest-class pellet holder I've ever seen. Have you seen the "pellet shakers" most everybody has?I've been shooting 10M air at WSA's monthly match for a little while. I've got a IZH 46M (Russian surplus Olympic pistol) and really enjoying it. No knuckleheads show up, it's reasonably quiet, and the ammo is really cheap. The entry fee is VASTLY higher than the ammo, but it pays for a really nice target setup.
One thing that always distracted me when competing is keeping track of the pellets. I really wanted to make sure I got five in each target, and only five.
So I'd lay them out on the score sheet like this:

This "works", in that I am able to keep track of the shots. But it is far from ideal in that it's really easy to knock them over and then they roll all over. And they're close together so it's hard to grab one without moving adjacent ones.
So I made a thing:

It's ... overbuilt. But it works well. 1/2" thick 6061, because it's the material I have. Holes are .25" apart and .125" deep. The rows are .55" apart (because it made the spacing on the block even)
I can shake it a lot and they don't move around or fall out or anything, and it's heavy enough to not move when someone bumps the table.
I tried .050, .075, .100, and .125 deep holes; the first two are too shallow as the pellets would too easily tumble out. .100 would probably have been fine.
I haven't actually used it in a match yet, I only finished it last night. I'm looking forward to Sunday to see if it actually works as well as I hope it will.

H&N is the maker, I think. Dump some pellets in, shake it, they align themselves, head down, in a 50-rd tray. What? No! Does it load all the little holes too? What am I missing?
Yeah air gun is a bit odd. Seems void of “knuckle heads”. There can be some snobbery aka rich kids. In the mix.I've been shooting 10M air at WSA's monthly match for a little while. CorrectHmmm, I've never seen any rich kid snobbery in ANY shooting sport. And if there was, it was not usually by anybody that was actually winning, or even doing well, in the match. Equipment never trumps marksmanship.
That's the one I have. Works great.
