Same reason I've held off from getting one. Except I have a brass catcher but destroying expensive 308 brass isn't easily avoided from the little I know about these rifles.

My brass is far from destroyed. Slight dents but otherwise fine for reloading.

I know! I was torn between this one and the GI model. The welded scope rail was the main factor in my ultimate choice.

I have been eyeing a Cetme for a couple years now. I know they are not up to the same quality specs as the par, but at half the price I'm always tempted

I've had mine for several years and I love it. $770 NIB from Riley's in Hooksett, NH. Right after buying it Cheaper Than Dirt was selling mags for 97 cents a piece. I bought a bunch.
