I don't have anything against ak rifles or the guys who love them lol. But as many see the ak rifle as a symbol of rebelion......i see it as a symbol of spray and pray un trained and undisciplined rabble.

Stack up a bunch of gruff Spetznaz guys with AKs against a comparable group of fledgling D-boys with CAR-15s around 1979 and tell me how you think that would go. Probably be a pretty even matchup, honestly.

The wars that you are hinting at were lost due to poor political, strategic, and operational decisions, not at the tactical level with the arms you mentioned.

The firefights, engagements, and battles that were fought at the tactical level in those wars were overwhelmingly won by the US units.

Seems I started a shit storm here about 3rd word and ak pattern rifles.

I may have been misread or my post was vague......

I never really said the ak is a bad rifle lol. I am absolutely saying the ak to me.....is a symbol of the rifle used around the 3rd world by untrained, undisciplined, uneducated rabble and I stand by it. I've been on the receiving end of ak spray and pray from that shitty rabble.......lucky for us units in Iraq for the most part those dumb f***ers can't shoot for shit and tactically were f***ing retarded! Seen 2 instances of those dumbasses firing on our convoy and they weren't even using the sights......just pulling the trigger in the general direction of the front of our convoy. We keep rolling while applying suppressive fire from the m2 and m240b and drive on by. f*** them!

That rabble not using the sights and spraying.......that's what I see as the average ak user in combat. Period.

Reverse the roles.......just about any US units could set up an ambush on a convoy of tractor trailers and kill people and break things on a wholesale level. Don't even need claymores or HE.........on a secondary narrow road......concentrate trained fire on the lead and trail vehicle......lead the trucks when firing so you account for the 50 to 60 mph the trucks are moving but disable those 2 vix.........now they can't turn around and they are f***ed. VERY rare the insurgents ever got a good complex coordinated attack put together against a us convoy.....know why I believe that is? They were afraid we'd actually get stopped ......and then take care of business! The untrained, undisciplined uneducated rabble didn't actually want to go toe to toe with us convoys.....so they pussed out and settled for harrasing us......so we kept delivering the goods.
