besides lightly sanding, is there anything that will take it off without doing damage? i want to get it off a long 1911 recoil spring guide. seriously, it's not interfering with anything and it is wearing off anyway, but being anal, i want it returned back to it's stainless finish. so' i looked, and there is no solvent anywhere on the cerakote site, and since it's baked on, maybe i'm out of luck? what do you think?

Media blast it. Fine grit aluminum oxide would work. I actually have a cabinet, with media, for doing Cerakote (brewery gear is in front of it currently ;)). Not sure if glass bead media would be aggressive enough to remove Cerakote. Coal slag could, but that's typically rougher than aluminum oxide.
