Satellite Phone

The pelican case i got, doesnt hold everything the way i thought it would. Im sure ill figure it out.i only got to case because it floats, incase we capsize the boat or somthing.

damn, I shoulve used floating pelican cases to hold my rifles last time I went out on the boat, then I wouldn't have lost them all in that tragic accident…

glad you like the phone so far thanks for documenting how you like it ect.

OK, I know there is such a thing as a dual sim phone where you have 2 sim cards .... is it possible to get a dual sim or multi sim phone that will function on different carriers so you can use the carrier that you have service in the location you are at. like a verizon sim card and an at&t card in the same phone.

Tater the answer is yes, but 3/4g muti sims phones are kinda rare.
my multi sim phone (which was only $30) is 2g.
i use my cell in the city and the sat phone in rural areas..so it still fits my need perfectly.
so having the option of different carriers is slightly deminished by being limited to 2g network.

I just thought it would interest the survival minded folks here.i wish sat phones were more mainstreem.
They need hybrid cell/sat phones .... i wish my sat phone had gsrm capabilities and was multi sim.

i kinda didnt like spending the money on the phone and plan at once, but in hindsite its not much different than have a modern smartphone and plan
