Show off your Rattle Cans

Does fishing gear count?
After fixing a mega-snarl, I tried it out and caught the biggest freshwater fish if my life (small mouth in the teens). I actually like it for canoe and tight places, so I made it my Tactical Scooby rod. I made sure to not paint over Scooby.

I'm going to be rattle canning my 16" AR and my Ruger Gunsite Scout, I do have a question and I've seen it mentioned on forums either way in regards to painting muzzle breaks. Tape off the muzzle break or spray paint it away, it wont matter? Right now i have the Gunsite Scout muzzle break taped off but if i can paint it and wont cause an issue, im just going to paint it.

*brake

mine came with a flash hider. ymmv

OP more here:

Bob Ross was a fraud. He learned how to paint from Bill Alexander, which is fine. But he not only learned from him, he straight up copied his style and all of his sayings. All the "happy little trees" and other silly things he said he stole directly from Alexander.
The only original thing he did was act light in the loafers. Take an exact copy of Bill Alexander and add a limp-wristed fruitcake with an afro and you get Bob Ross.

Bob Ross popularized painting and brought a whole lot of people into artistry by making you feel like you can do it. His gifts to humanity were priceless. Who cares if he copied someone's style. That's how all art works. You get a teacher and copy him until you hopefully surpass him.

Here's my pistol I painted last spring.

Do you do a top coat after all the colors or nah and welcome the battle scars and paint chips as they come?

You can do a coat of matte clear over the top but you may not want any shinyness. All clearcoats are somewhat reflective. It would be smart to test paint your pattern on a piece of aluminum and then clearcoat half. The krylon matte clear I tried really grabbed too much light for my liking. Mud and dirt isn't usually shiny.

He copied his art, his personality, his sayings, ...everything. He was an unoriginal fraud, and as far as artistic talent goes he was about one step above paint by numbers.

Who cares? Name any modern musician and I can point you to who they copied. Every martial artist. Every writer. If your biggest argument is that he lacks originality then I want you to show my one person who had a successful nation wide art TV show.

Originality is overrated.

One person? OK, William Alexander.

I'll hit mine with some steel wool to try and get rid of the shininess.

I've also noticed that when I take pictures of my camo guns indoors under florescent light that they look shinier than they do under natural light.

Wondering... I get using store bought spray paint if you will be changing the camo pattern for different terrains.

But if you won't, why not use something like Duracoat?

Maybe I'll get bored and want to try a new pattern after a while.
And if I f*** it up, ehh it's only a $6 can of spray paint job.
