Got this in an email newsleter from SigArms today:

Boston PD Joins The Revolution

The fax we received from Deputy Superintendent Thomas Lee, Commander, Special Operations of the Boston Police Department was pretty straight forward. "I am writing to confirm that, after extensive testing and evaluation from our firearms instructors of several different 1911 pistols, the Boston Police Entry & Apprehension Team has committed to transition 70 of our pistols to the slightly modified SIG 1911, .45 ACP, Revolution." The Boston PD E.A.T. unit is highly regarded and they take their equipment seriously. That's why we are proud to have these members of Boston's finest carrying our new Revolution 1911.

Just goes to show you how many PD's get to carry those "unsafe" guns that we can't....cuz ya know, the AG says they'll kill us cuz they aren't safe. (thanks for adding that Derek )
