I let my BPD '53 Colt Detective go the resident NES BPD specialist. I used the funds to acquire the Rock-Ola carbine stock and this gorgeous 1916 Colt Police Positive in .38 special. I couldn't quite afford another snub nose, so it remains on my 'short' list . The white areas are reflected light; the revolver is all blue.
I'd say it rates 90%+, and the bore is excellent, as are the original grips. For those who don't know, the Model 1905 Colt was called the "Positive" as it could not discharge if dropped when cocked.
