SR22 Problems driving me insane

Anyone know the policy on manufacturer replacements with regards to MA rules on the old gun?

When I get the new gun, my FFL will transfer it to me like normal.. but do I have to do anything about the old gun? It's no longer going to exist. Ruger is going to destroy it. So do I need to fill out some paperwork so that serial number is no longer registered in my name? Wont the state have on file that I still own the old gun..?

Don't overthink it. I'm sure 4 seasons will not charge you for the transfer since you bought the original gun there. Let them worry about keeping you legal.

It's all good. MFS took care of me. Ruger told me I could send them the receipt and they would mail my money back. But MFS told me not to worry about it. They would either eat the cost or try and get the money from Ruger themselves.

So it didn't cost me anything and it was fast and smooth.
