SW 340 PD Scandium Alloy

Just picked one of these up from a fellow member. Im interested in having it refinished. Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith/technique? Any duracoat suggestions..? There is muzzle/backstrap wear...

If its a carry gun. I'd probably wait for it to be really bad until refinishing..

But.. Birdsong does some pretty amazing work. And the business end customs, from the pics I've seen are pretty darn good too.

Refinish, or frame replacement? I had a 642 that I sent in for finish damage, and they elected to swap the frame for a new one. I don't know the reason they chose that particular method.

If S&W will do it free, go for it. Otherwise, leave the gun alone. The alloy won't corrode.
