I have an AR10 build coming up in 6.5 so this deal is gtg for me. Can’t see a better hd/hunting rd at $12 a box. Would be fun to see terminal ballistics on jugs of water or gel blocks.


I have a feeling ammo might move into a bear market next year unless we get a hot war.

I paid like 13 dollars a box for Herters at real good sale at Cabelas before the pandemic in Trump slump. 12 dollars a box is a great price.

I agree...could be a bear market on a lot of things gunz and I'm seeing some low prices/rebates and high availability on stuff I've been wanting for a while. Problem is, now I can buy cans and anything I want its all expensive at once. I need to pace myself....LOL!

I’ve not had good luck with Hertzer ammo so I’ve stayed away from it. Sounds like you’ve had better luck.

I used to buy cases of Wolf 223 for $180 and blast through that stuff. That was 5 years ago. Yeesh time flies.

The Lehigh Defense bullets they use on these cartridges have performed the same in every one of the half dozen gel test demo videos I have seen of them. They look to be a pretty devastating AP round with limited risk of passing through and hitting someone behind your target. I plan to use them for home defense out of a 7.5 inch barrel.

I got 8M3 out of a 11.5” barrel for home defense myself.

I would not use it in a semi auto rifle......

Bolt action 6.5 Creed Herters green box hunting ammo...honestly the fxcking shit groups nearly as good as my reloads in my Ruger American with the Magpul Hunter stock. Almost not worth reloading until the prices went up on it.

Ive shot it in .308 and 30-06 and it works, groups not as good as Creedmore....never is anyway, even reloads. But I've had better results reloading.

The shotgun shells are fine for O/U, but won't run in almost any semi auto, and unless your buying 28 gauge.... the hulls suck for reloading.
In 28 gauge, I think they use AA grade hulls. So I buy them if they are on sale, and have reloaded them a ton with good results.

I've never bought anything else Herters.....Target Sports is cheaper for auto pistol calibers and most rifle calibers.

I just saw they have Winchester M193 for cyber Monday for .40cpr. A $404 case of legit 5.56 seems like a good deal now and that makes me sad.

Seems to be the case. Usually when I place an order it ships either that day or the next depending on how early I order. Even my order on their 9/19 sale shipped the next day. However, I placed an order on Black Friday and it didn’t ship till yesterday (Friday).

The good thing is that it means they’re selling a ton of ammo!
