Ya, why was the Min. distance line moved back on the indoor (east range)? If people cant shoot at 25' without hitting the ceiling/floor they probably shouldn't be there

Ya, why was the Min. distance line moved back on the indoor (east range)? If people cant shoot at 25' without hitting the ceiling/floor they probably shouldn't be there
I always thought it was a minimum safe distance with regards to bounce back not idiot proofing people missing the backstop

If the target is too close, and a novice shooter shoots low or high, the angle will result in the bullet hitting the ceiling or the ground. Where as the further back the target is, the less of an angle the "misses" will be. That's my understanding to it.

Some shots were impacting the very base of the lower steel plate and ricocheting unpredictably.
Anyone have Monday off and going to the outdoor range? I'll be the guy with the 'new to me' garand missing the paper completely trying too sight it in...
What time are you looking at going? I just got a Garand recently as well

There is a pistol match every Tuesday night. Currently Taunton is fielding three teams in the Twin County pistol league. As there will be a visiting team, the front door is unlocked.
If you show up after 6:15 or 6:30 PM and say 'hi, I'd like to talk to a range officer or E-board member' you're very likely to encounter someone competent to answer your questions and help you determine next steps.

Yes. There's a mailbox outside the main entrance. You can drop your check and invoice there.

This is just for your information. Those newer RFID wallets do work so if your card won't unlock the door or gate try talking the card out of the wallet.
