Yeah, it's a KB, but I'm impressed, overall, given that
the gun was repairable and the shooter was uninjured... although
the part of the grip panel that came flying off must not have felt
good. Compare that to Glock KB's where the frame often
essentially gets obliterated.
What I'm most impressed by is the fact that the barrel is still in one
piece. This means it was strong enough to cope with the overpressure
and only blew out at the most unsupported part of the case.
Yes, I know it's the fault of the reloader. Probably didn't crimp his bullet
properly (and got serious setback) or he was using brass that had been
previously fired in some gun that had shitty chamber support, or brass
which had already been weakened by an overload or other
event. (or his "well under max" load actually ended up being an accidental
double charge or something. )
