This thread caught my attention. A bunch of liberal twats who supposedly own lots of guns, but vote 100% liberal. I think maybe there are a few hundred of these twats at most. The statistics on gun ownership are pretty clear there.

Then I think “How the f*** can you vote for the f***s who want to disarm you and be OK with that?” The left is literally insane.

All of us have a responsibility to read the history of the revolutions in China, Russia, Cambodia, Cuba, and Venezuela, so we can understand what's happening today. Human behavior does not change much. What happened then is what is happening now, and the quicker we face that reality, the better chance we have of stopping it.

That's truly the only answer that you can come up with for these people. I could never fathom the thought process that a lot of these people have. When Trump was in office all they did was say how the government is nothing more than a bunch of Nazis. But then they wanted the same government to ban assault rifles. Like how can you trust the government that you just call Nazis to take a away a right. Just really perplexing to have this thought process.

Here’s what I see, feel free to add/correct to this as it is an evolving view of mine:

The far right is primarily skewed by religious fanatics who focus on a couple of issues like Abortion and Marriage. 2A gets rolled up into the far right by the media and the left, but most 2A supporters I know aren’t fanatical like you see with the religious folks.

The far left is dominated by Communists, Marxists, and Environmentalists. The rest of the left is mostly socialists/anti 2a/feminists/LGBTQ, etc. Some more rabid than others, but with varying degrees of intensity.

Then you have the middle of the political spectrum. Whether you lean left or right, the middle or “moderate” is being polarized to the left or right until there is no middle left.

I mostly just want to be left alone. I also want a better country for my children, but they will have their own ideas about what that means for them and future generations. Anyway, it seems that eventually we’ll all need to pick a side or STFU and I’m not sure voting will fix any of this. We may just be too far gone and our institutions too captured by the left to fix it. 2024 elections will certainly shed light on whether that is in fact the case.
