Suspects aged 12 to 14 shot during botched robbery attempt

Three young juveniles were hospitalized and a fourth arrested when they allegedly attempted to rob an armed man who turned the tables on them in Texas this week, according to reports.


The incident unfolded just after midnight on Thursday in Harris County.


Authorities say several suspects ranging in age from 12 to 14 years old approached a 25-year-old man at an apartment complex and attempted to rob him while displaying pistols.


The would-be victim drew a firearm of his own and reportedly shot three of the youths.


All three injured suspects were rushed to local hospitals while the fourth was apprehended a short time later.


“One of them suffered multiple gunshot wounds and HPD said is recovering in an ICU. The other two reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries,” KHOU reports.


The robbery victim also turned himself in to authorities, but it is unclear if anyone will face charges.

why did victim turn himself in later ? Did he take off before LE got there ? Wouldn't that be a chargeable offense in itself ?

We weren't there to judge if it was safe for the robbery victim to hang around.
