Vehicles are not cover

Missed the event. When I watched Godfather back in China long ago, it puzzled me a bit why Sonny didn't stay in the car for cover at the toll booth. The question didn't really get a real-world answer until I attended one of the NES car shoots.

P.S. I miss cekim and his posts. Intelligent and funny. Good guy in person. Geez, he had almost 30k posts here in 6 years. I'm not even 1/5 of that in 17.

SOme members still chat with Mike. Last shoot I saw him at, he opened up his FA to show me the inner workings of the third hole twiddly bits. Very nice guy.

Ummm, becasue it was a movie and cinematically it was better for him to get out? LOL

Had the car that Tom sent after him driven faster, it would have never happened. Don Barzini counted on lazy Corleone schnooks. Except. . . . it was a movie. LOL

Engine blocks are nice to get behind. provided you can make yourself engine-block-shaped.

another point in favor of the big old V8s, they are easier to hide behind than those little boxer engines.

I think you are remembering either @dwarven1 or that Doobie dude(?)

This guy, maybe? That was a year that I was participating in Kilted To Kick Cancer - I posted here on NES that if I got over a thousand bucks in donations, I'd come to the Pumpkin Shoot in my kilt. And you guys DID get me over a thousand, so, well... there I am. My Vermont State Guard field jacket, and a kilt in Hunting Ross. They kinda clash... ;)

And yes, my legs are pale. We all know.

Wheels, brake rotors and the engine will stop "normal" guns (556 and below is what we tested). The pillars stop some stuff, but I wouldn't count on it. The rest of the car is NOT cover.
