Are M107s legal to ship into MA?

What range do you shoot at? Doesn’t really make sense to be shooting .50 cal at 100 yards.
And a damn good way to take a ricochet to the pumpkin. There’s a video on youboob of a guy taking one that takes his ballcap off his melon. But I’d have to assume that the OP knows what he’s doing. Not too many inexperienced shooters go for anti material guns.

yeah, but if I had a nickel for everytime I have been muzzle swept by some yahoo with a M107 howitzer at the range.....

To answer the original question.

No, it is too salty for MA:

“ “Assault-style firearm”, any firearm which is:
(a) a semiautomatic, centerfire rifle with the capacity to accept a detachable feeding device and includes at least 2 of the following features: (i) a folding or telescopic stock; (ii) a thumbhole stock or pistol grip; (iii) a forward grip or second handgrip or protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; (iv) a threaded barrel designed to accommodate a flash suppressor or muzzle breakor similar feature; or (v) a shroud that encircles either all or part of the barrel designed to shield the bearer’s hand from heat, excluding a slide that encloses the barrel.“

If the brake was pinned and welded, it might be okay.

The last line about the heat shield barrel shroud is clearly an accidental inclusion from the pistol ASF definition, but it is in the rifle section. It is actually law. I don’t know how one could define the handguard as anything but a barrel shroud designed to shield the bearer’s hand from heat. But it could really apply to any rifle handguard. So perhaps everyone should just ignore it. It seems like FFLs are ignoring it.
