I know my limits... Air-weight J-Frames with full power .357 loads, and .454 Casull... I own both and really don’t enjoy shooting either one. So .460 and .500 S&W I will not even try...
 
My last to cases of 40 were cheaper then 9. I am so glad I didn't get rid of my 40s even though before this level of stupid I hadn't shot them to any great extent in the last 5 or 6 years. As far as price if Trump wins probably this time next year prices will start to go down to normal levels. Or at least a level That were comfortable with. God help us if slow Joe wins. If that happens then ammo prices will be the least of our worries.

Yes. Absolutely. Once Joe and the Ho are firmly entrenched @ 1600 you won't be able to buy any....at all, ever,no matter what, and I'd have to say that will pretty much reduce your ammo expense to "0".
 
I have a couple of .40's w/ 9mm conversion barrels and a decent amount of ammo since I don't really shoot them in .40 much. Would buy them in 9mm if was doing it today, but also happy to have them given the current environment.

An all metal midsize, like a P229, in .40 will help reduce the recoil and make shooting a .40 enjoyable. Shooting a polymer subcompact with a single recoil spring after a few mags gets old and sometimes a double recoil spring too.

Yep. Even if Trump secures a 2nd term, the likelihood of a Republican being elected in 2024 is next to nil.
If Trump wasn't "Trump" (the P.T. Barnum of our generation) Hillary would be POTUS...

Hell I even remember the days where you could get 1000 rounds of WWB 9mm for a little over 100 bucks... maybe 120 at most.

. 40 is still shit on pins compared to .45, it's only marginally better than 9 is. Pins need slow, heavy, wide bullets... that's why .45 and .44 mag are king on pins.

Some of it comes down to bullet shape, too. 9mm tends to be relatively pointy compared to 40 and 45, and 40 seems to have a high prevalence of very, very flat nose FMJ projectiles.

I’m pretty sure he’s going to win in a landslide. I think. Just looking at the rallies compared to Biden’s “rallies” if that’s what you call them. Him waving at nobody getting off the plane. There’s always the voter fraud thing that causes doubt though.

Bullet selection also has a huge impact. 40 cal in 165grn through a 226 or a 229 with a set of Houge rubber grips is easy to shoot. ( I own both ) And the bullets go where I want them to. 40 cal is just no big deal.
What I think sucks is snubbies in 357 or 44 mag. I am a big guy with big hands and have no problem with recoil, but big bore snubbies feels like whacking your hand with an aluminum baseball bat. I understand why guys carry them but shooting them sucks.
