Best pistol caliber?

We need to create a .47 caliber for him then too.
I've been waiting for someone to shorten the 45-70 into a 45-47. I'd pay money just for the brass so I could cut it down on the lathe to make a lapel pin that says 45-47.

ETA: During his first term there were staffers in DC with lapel pins made from 45ACP brass. They wore them as sort of a secret handshake at the bars.

Platform matters more than caliber.

9mm yeet cannon, or 9mm P226 XFive.
10mm G29 or 10mm P220.
7.62x39 Hertzer whatever the eff, or 7.62x39 also crappy AK platform.

Nothing says sex appeal like a flobert.

Whilst I don’t resemble the Bubba picture associated with the cartridge…I do love me some .357 magnum

The earth-shattering kaboom from a stoutly loaded round is just good ol’ fashioned fun. The ability to fire of some more economical 38 Spl is a bonus, too

45acp for the win.

I want to shoot that!!!!!

I’m one of the NES wrist breakers club members

And my vote is for .460.

I’ve shot most calibers and I think the .460 was the snappiest

Load dependent. Or maybe the comp'd barrel my buddy had made it very manageable.

in any case, my buddie's X-frame comp'd 8" barrel shooting these felt less snappy than his Colt 1911 in .45 ACP. He hyped it up, offering me a leather shooting glove to soften the recoil. I was expecting pain and struggling to keep the barrel down. Instead, It was easy to hit my shot and follow-up shots. I assume some of the heavier 250 grain, 260, 275, and 300 grain loads are monsters.

I’ve literally shot most every caliber.

If you think a .460 is less snappy than a .45acp something is up

Granted I shot the .460 from a single action non ported BFR

I have slow-mo on my phone of me attempting to catch the projectile in 5 lined up gallon milk jugs of water. 200 grains at 1800 fps said "nope"

It's this, the 460 XVR

I gotta be honest, I hate the ported big bores. The concussive blast to the shooter, and anyone within 30 feet of the shooter is as bad as the bubba'd tank brake mosin @kingson has at his MG shoots. I was around that damn thing all day, and I still jumped every time it shot, and this was the second time.

The surefire socom brake is arguably the worst brake for others
