For those not aware, Youtube has announced that they are increasing the restrictions of firearm related content. Now it will be in violation of Youtube's terms if you post videos that feature the following:

-bump stocks or machine guns or suppressors
-manufacturing of bump stocks
-manufacturing of firearms
-detailed assembly and disassembly of firearms
-manufacturing of ammunition
-manufacturing of suppressors
-demonstrating how to modify semi auto guns into machine guns
-magazines over 30 rounds and the manufacturing of them

In response to these outlandish and IMO disgusting restrictions, InRange TV has announced they are going to begin uploading videos to adult website Pornhub.

Yes, you may soon be able to begin watching a video on how to oil your gun, then switch to the newest Asa Akira and Bailey Jay video to run your gun.

It's clear to me that Youtube is whittling away at channels they don't like and will soon delete them entirely, that's the way Marxists operate. There are not many other websites like youtube other than porn websites. Porn websites like Pornhub get a LOT of traffic and have a worldwide audience and a stable video hosting platform. If Pornhub is open to allowing non pornographic videos to be hosted on their website, could we see more gun channels moving to Pornhub? Could we see a non porn sister website of Pornhub specifically for gun channels? Gunhub???

IMO, the audience that uses Pornhub most, young adults, is the exact audience that we want to get into guns and turn into 2A people. I think InRange TV is on to something here and personally, I've always wanted to see Hickok45 in a pair of assless chaps hitting the gong at 80 yards with a micro pistol.

The problem with that idea is a shitload of people wouldn't use it because there are likely a ton of content filters that block all the pornhub servers.

IMHO there needs to be another way, and youtube needs to get f***ed over this kind of thing. Most of the fun channels, even non gun ones, are facing demonetization in the face of political bullshit.

I just found full30.com Looks like a viable replacement
It's really not. Full30 is set up only for large gun channels on youtube like Hickok45, Sootch, IraqVeteran, etc. but the smaller guys that are legit my favorite gun channels on youtube have no opportunity to get on Full30 cuz they ain't big enough.

Also, the design of Full30 and the layout sucks. Pornhub is very similar to Youtube. You have a comments section, recommended videos, etc. None of that on Full30.

The long and short (no pun intended) of it is that the only other websites who have the server capacity to be viable replacements for youtube and also offer a stable video service... are porn websites.

Unless a Billionaire like Donald Trump decides he wants to make his own website like Youtube and really does allow free speech and content without unreasonable restrictions, it's never going to happen. Youtube grew so big because they were a website that hosted a variety of content all in one central location. The only other video websites like that, that focus on and cater to one specific audience, is porn.

Instead of having just one location for the videos, why not have a site that links to wherever the video is actually hosted/stored? Similar to how torrent sites operate. If they could properly write the tie-in they could even allow for sites put up on Google Drive or MS OneDrive.

You don't need billions to get such a site up and running in order to test draw to it. If you do it right, you could get sponsorship from gun manufacturers to allow you to increase capacity as demand increases. I would create a POC site first, then talk with the different gun manufacturers (globally) to see about getting sponsorship. You could come up with a sliding scale so that the amount they provide increases as the hits also increase (especially on videos of their products) that would allow you to increase compute and bandwidth as needed. You WILL need to locate a very open minded hosting company (or start one up for just this) for this to live. At least initially.

Whew.....just went to YouTube and searched for Ruger Mark III re assembly. You guys had me scared there when you said they were removing gun assembly vids! Next time I clean my mark III I don't really want to be on pornhub in the basement. I'm not sure that if the wife came downstairs to check the laundry shed believe I was just cleaning my gun.....oh....wait a second?!?![hmmm]

You need to have a heart to heart talk with your wife.

EXPLAIN that you watch PornHub for the gun videos.

A couple generations ago man explained to their wives that Playboy was for the articles. Don't forget Penthouse Forum.

Gun manufacturers are too cheap.

I have a problem with the assembly and disassembly videos. How the f*** am I going to remember how to take apart that one gun I shoot once per year...YouTube was a great resource for that and small trigger jobs...

Well...f*** them and f*** Google. I am glad they are losing a ton of cloud business to Microsoft. Also f*** Microsoft, but not as bad as Google.

You must have married pretty young.

Feb 1993 — the Internet is officially launched

Mar 1993 — the largest ‘child pornography’ investigation in history is initiated, after a series of websites (eventually tracked to Denmark) make huge vaults of underage smut available to the masses, via the internet.

1995 — A study of Usenet reveals >80% of traffic is porn-related. TIME magazine runs story as “CYBERPORN” exposé. Study was later found to be flawed, and TIME issued a partial retraction.

I married in 1994. I could legally buy a beer but just barely. Still married to the wonderful bride. Anyhoo......didn't get internet in my house till prolly 1998.

Anyway...back on topic...Pornhub gets like 300 million views per day. They could spin off a YouTube style website. On any given day, 300 million people would see the advertising for it...

Now, pornhub does a lot of data analytics and has been extremely successful, there must be a good reason why they don't do it, or maybe they just don't give a sh@t about anything else that can't be monetized as fast a porn.

The pornhub network is massive. They already have affiliate sites. I'm sure they've been working on this since YT started to demonetize conservative videos during the '16 elections.

this might be true but i did not even have a computer or "internet" other than regular cable TV until 2004 when the wife and I bought a computer 4 years after we where married. Prior to that my mom was the only one with a computer and she used it for work from home I was lucky she let me set up a AOL email account through it but i can tell you I fell asleep waiting for that dial up connection to do something......fun stuff

Just make a sister site... Gun Hub.
i often wondered why after 8 years of all the anti gun stuff there is not more PRO gun sites like Gun Hub or Gun Tube and such why is there no GunBook?
I figured it has to come down to money and "we" gun owners and constitution believing folks just dont spend enough money for the "business" to care?
I cant see in todays market why NRA and a few large manufacturing entities can not get a decent easy to use "FOR GUNS AND the @nd " based sites going.
Sadly it comes back to money and peoples spending habits.
I dont want to see adds when im looking up videos and i was not going to pay extra not to see adds.... For me that will change a little im willing to pay for non add viewing of up loaded gun content especially when useful

I think sites that are intended to be an alternative to something else, but are too specific such as "guns", are a problem getting people to move to. Facebook, for example, but the gun version.... who of my friends and family would I be able to get to migrate there? At most, I think I could count 4, and that's if they even bothered to migrate there with me. So, I would be able to see the cat and vacation pics of 1 relative and 3 friends, that's it. So, in reality, it would probably be just me and I'd have the most boring gunbook feed, not even worth checking. Facebook is only useful because everyone is there and I can see what crap they are up to and promptly chat with them. To be a viable alternative, I think it would still need to accept everyone for any topic, but not all the stupid garbage like censoring people's posts and taking a dump on anyone with a free thought all the time. So, Facebook, but free. But, you still have the network effect problem, trying to get the ball rolling and the whole thing started and have it reach critical mass. And while it could claim to be accepting of anyone's beliefs and not censor them, let's face it the lefties that you know won't really care about that since they aren't getting censored anyway, and being around alternative thoughts upsets them. So, lefties would not migrate to the FB alternative... it would still just be conservative and libertarian types. Again, most people I know would not migrate. For everyone to want to migrate, FB would have to start shitting on all the lefties too. So, I highly encourage them to do that, just go full retard and piss off everyone. Only then we may have another viable platform emerge.

You better download that video and save it. The policy takes effect in like 27 days from now, at which point those Ruger MK-III vids will be gone.

I hope someone is working on saving/rehosting all the great build videos out there. My parts kit arrived yesterday. [smile]
