Will more Youtube gun channels go to Pornhub?

That is a really lame April fools article. It did not read like one, sounded fully plausible, was not funny, and just pissed people off who were optimistic about other video hosting services making up for YT tyranny. Eff them and all the horses they rode in on.

I did not think the writing in the PornHub article was funny. But the pictures of scantily clad women holding rifles with the rifles pixelated out were hilarious in my opinion.

And though I found the pictures funny, they make a point about censorship that is not humorous at all. There are an awful lot of things that someone in world thinks should be censored.

I have been getting the majority of my video content recently through bitchute.com and it has been working well. I think this would be a great platform to move gun videos to.

Isn't bitchute some sort of torrent index, not exactly a video streaming system itself??

It does use bittorrent, yes. It looks like they also provide storage for what's being torrented. So, the bittorrent is used to reduce their bandwidth when multiple people are viewing the same video at the same time. I would imagine the storage part of their web site is rather costly, so I'm not entirely sure what their plan is for making money from this so that it is sustainable.

I wonder if twitch tv could be an option. It’s a pay service but if you have amazon prime it’s free (included in the cost of your prime subscription)

Another YouTube employee said the shooter "had a mask on and full body armor" and was "calmly walking and firing a handgun.

Ok, that right there is clearly illegal. Shooter is going to JAIL.

Everybody knows it's illegal to wear body armor while committing a felony.

Oh wait. Is it actually illegal to shoot people? Is there a law? OMG!

Has to be someone out there with that kind of scratch that is pro 2A
You're asking that someone has 100 million dollars of cash laying around waiting to be invested and is looking at online video hosting as that investment. The issue is that youtube is a leviathan that's had 12 years worth of time to develop and mature and has billions of dollars worth of servers and data storage in its possession, not to mention the best tech experts who keep the network running smoothly.

There's a reason a website like Full30 or Vimeo sucks: because they're a very small video hosting website. There's a reason Vimeo charges the uploader to pay to host their video... because they're not going to pay for it as they have no advertisement revenue! The benefit to not relying on advertisers to pay for the data storage and servers is that nobody can make demands what content is on your site. If you want to host videos that show how to make machine guns and bombs, you can do that. Not on Youtube... not with the guns at least, making bombs is just fine tho.

So, that's why the big porno websites are the next best option. They have the infrastructure set up to host TONS of video content. How they make money to pay for the video hosting beats me as I don't see ads on Pornhub or other porn sites, unless the occasional popups of "young horny singles near me" are the ads.

Bottom line, apart from billionaires or huge corporations, there's nobody out there that can fund a website in competition to youtube who is actually willing to invest in such a venture. I think tho, that with how restrictive youtube is becoming with the content and how little they are paying the people who create the videos ever since PewDiPie made a video that freaked out advertisers last year and led to mass demonetization of videos through their software algorithms that decided that a prank call video or a video reviewing a pro wrestling show is objectionable content that would make advertisers potentially pull their funding- that the need for an alternative site to compete with youtube is becoming more and more apparent.

I think there is a market of people who make videos that would like a real competitor to youtube because the bottom line is that competition is best for the consumer. If you have another website that's telling people, "HEY! WE WANT YOU TO POST YOUR VIDEOS TO OUR WEBSITE AND WE DON'T CARE IF IT'S ABOUT GUNS OR VIDEO GAMES OR PRO WRESTLING! WE'LL PAY YOU TOP DOLLAR FOR YOUR VIDEOS!" while Youtube is sitting in a smoke filled backroom restricting their content creators and telling them to pound sand when their videos aren't violating terms and more and more terms keep coming from Youtube further restricting what's allowed and not allowed.

If that happens, people will start to abandon Youtube and then Youtube will freak out and ease up on the restrictions and start paying people again.

The issue again comes down to the advertisers and what content they will allow to have their ads played before/during/after the video. The anti's have gone into overdrive and are going directly after companies demanding they stop so and so that deal with guns. That's why after Parkland airliners stopped supporting NRA discounts and now Citibank is trying to stop processing transactions for guns and accessories and other stuff.

My fear is that if banks collude to stop processing payments for gun stores, gun websites, ammo sales, etc. that we're going to go back to having to pay for everything with cash and check. Then when the inevitable future comes where cash is outlawed and everything has to be paid for by credit/debit cards... then we won't be able to buy guns even though they're completely legal to sell, buy, and own.

It will be de facto gun bans.

Anyway, the censorship today on Youtube is guns, Alex Jones, and videos criticizing the Parkland student protestors, tomorrow it will be videos criticizing the first female president, speaking out against Syrian migrants, etc.

Censorship and propaganda is the future of Youtube because they're the only game in town when it comes to a non porn based video hosting website.

Ok I get it. But my small mind thinks it’s a possibility. I mean YouTube had to start somewhere and I’m sure it wasn’t on top. They had to crawl before they ran but point taken. Having said that, I know it’s a bit extreme and the content of this site is not for the faint of heart, but the site best gore could be another option. They are Canadian and big time anti censorship. They use porn sites as advertisers. The only issue is they upload a lot of videos of people committing crimes and being irresponsible with guns and that might set a double standard that would work against us. Just a thought.

Pornhub Partnership Ups Verge Cryptocurrency Price

The price of the digital coin Verge (XVG) skyrocketed Tuesday following news that adult entertainment giant Mindgeek, the owner of Pornhub and Brazzers, is now accepting payments in the form of the anonymous cryptocurrency.

The partnership, which had been hinted at over the past month, means that users now have the option to pay for a premium subscription without leaving any trace. In March, Verge launched a crowdfunding campaign with a target of collecting 75 million worth of the cryptocurrency. It is currently unknown whether Mindgeek has taken an ownership stake in the digital currency, according to Fortune.
