That knife is awesome! She is a keeper. The wife too!She paid too much and spent more money than I would have but it's the thought that counts. My wife bought me a Benchmade PSK Carbon Fiber and Black G10 for Christmas. Must have been a good salesman at KTP to get her to spend that kind of $$ on a knife. Beautiful knife. Super clean edge and sharp. I'm not super knowledgable about high end knifes but there is no doubt this is the best knife I have owned.

It's a manual stitch. I have one also, it's an awesome knife. To this day it's the sharpest edge I've ever got out of the box.Which model Microtech is that on the right?
Have a couple Gransfors axes. Honestly, I have no business owning them as they get barely any use, but man are they nice for fondling. My 2 Hawks finally arrived! And my Gransfors mini hatchet for hiking came too. Both are incredibly sharp right out of the gates.
Oh, I like! I've become a big fan of Wharncliffe blades. My first OTF.

I'd say it isn't as useful as other knives I've got with Wharncliffe blades. The blade is just a little too long and it feels like the point is just a bit too far away. Maybe I'll get more used to it.Oh, I like! I've become a big fan of Wharncliffe blades.
It's a little long-ish looking, but I bet you will like the convenience of the OTF with that style blade. I use my clone as an everyday beater, which is a good use for it.I'd say it isn't as useful as other knives I've got with Wharncliffe blades. Placed an order for one earlier today (BladeHQ)... I like my Hera, but I've been wanting one of the new generations of Microtech OTF's for a while. Since it came back in stock, I decided to grab it. Now I just need to see about getting the Livewire (Kershaw) sent in to get repaired (one of the spring broke after far too few movements). Only thing the Kershaw had over the Microtech was the ease of moving the button. Pretty sure the new series from Microtech took care of that.My first OTF.

Yeah mine took a few cycles before it became happy. It has arrived...

Did 2 day UPS shipping on it. Arrived before noon. I'm OK with spending ~$14 to get the faster shipping on it.
Was a little sluggish coming in out of the cold. Letting it warm up a bit took care of that. Now I have two different Microtech knives in my pocket carry rotation.![]()
"Happy knife, happy life."Yeah mine took a few cycles before it became happy.
