Your New Knife!

Well that is exactly what I wanted: A work knife built like a fkn tank. Attractive but not so “pretty” that I’m afraid to use it and another magnacut so it’s pretty indestructible. Blade is 5/32 thick, easily the thickest knives I have.

This sheath is super rugged too, some of the thickest leather I've seen and very well made. Probably the nicest sheath I have owned.

"It's not the length, it's the thickness!"

Meanwhile, I went skinny and flexible with this order. I have their chef, utility, and paring. With this one, if they will just finally make the 10" straight slicer I've been asking for for years, my AUS-10 kitchen collection will be complete.

I remember seeing this video a while back. I still want to know what knife that dude has.
Could be this one. I bought one about a month ago and it's a beast! Fit & finish is exceptional for $28.99!

Reiff makes some good knives! They take a beating too. Is the the F4?

I've been putting these through their paces that past four days butchering two elk. Love them. The all shine. The large breaking knife is a beast. Excellent on the large cuts or if you need to shave a large chunk off something like the ribs. Blades really have not required touch up. In not sure I can tell the difference yet between the magnacut and the ball bearing steel.

If I had to guess the knife in the video is a one off knife that the guy swinging it made and is competing with. I think those competitions are for makers, not just guys swinging around $30 production knives.

A couple of Dauntless Hikers. Waited quite a while for that last drop.

Black oxide treated Magnacut, Ultem scales, and Multicam sheath.

I love my Dogbone a lot more than I thought I would. Those dudes do some great work.

I pocket carry my Dogbone all the time. A smaller profile sheath would be nice- I know someone who will make a leather one. I'll be watching for the next Dogbone DE drop. Agreed their work is top shelf. I now have several of their knives and don't see anything other than perfect machining and finishing.

did you get the standard sheath or deep carry? the standard is about as small as a sheath can get and still be workable. the handle does stick up a bit but easily covered by a shirt.
and you're right, dauntless makes excellent knives.

Agreed.

lancecolonel knows that I explored several sheath options for my Dogbone already, and I think the standard small one is where it's at.
