I bet he has some idea but doubt he really understands, but you are definitely right about the second part. Whether he knows or not, he’d have said the same thing without the hopes the jury doesn’t know.

What type of charges could the feds press? Civil rights charges wouldn’t work, terrorist charges wouldn’t, etc.

The fed jurisdiction isn’t very large, there is nothing they could prosecute rittenhouse on except maybe being part of a straw buy. Feds won’t go near rittenhouse.

Silly things like that don’t phase the hyper political DOJ. If he doesn’t get convicted of something (in this trial), I’m sure they can make up something. Again, it doesn’t matter if it’s legitimate. It doesn’t matter if ultimately its dropped. The process is the punishment and they are absolutely willing to ruin you financially if they feel like it.

I knew this poor drunk sod who lost his wife and then his life. Fell so deep in the bottle he pissed inside a bookstore… Bam! Level 2 sex offender. Made it real tough to find him housing. Found him one winter in a dumpster with a core temp of 60 something. He lived but was never the same…

One of the jurors in the Scott Peterson case lied on her jury questionnaire. There was a question asked about if the juror had been a victim of violent and/or domestic crimes. She said no, and it came out after the fact that she was. It is one of the key points regarding his quest for a new trial.

There is a hearing scheduled on her alleged misconduct.
 
I'm not sure what the feds could charge him on but they could conjure up some specious charge.
It won't be a civil rights because, as I said earlier on this thread, those shot were Caucasian.

I hear similar arguments 4-5 times a day. More often about that this case that the police would not have let him walk right by them armed.

So, assuming we all agree to the original part of the argument, that minorities are often treated unfairly or even unconstitutionally by law enforcement and our legal system, are they saying that the correct fix is to treat everyone that badly?
