A request for @Admin

With e-banking apps, not sure actual printing is even necessary.
My bank will print and mail a check to a payee. And now that I think of it, it does offer another level of security. When the check is submitted for payment, the bank already knows how much its supposed to be for, unlike a check I would write. So even if the check is altered, it will only be cashed for the original amount.

I killed my PP account years ago. Refuse to get Venmo or most of the others (get the Zelle option via my banking phone app, used it a few times). Anytime a site has PP for a payment system (with no other option) I use it as a 'guest' and also use one of my credit cards to make the payment. Puts another layer between me and the site. I also have to make sure that I don't allow it to make a new account for me (annoying, but pretty easy). Means I still don't have a PP account even when making yearly payments for a few things.

I write twelve checks a year at this point (rent). I give them directly to the owner, so that USPS can't F things up on me. Or get them stolen.

IMO, even if the OP doesn't want to have a PP account (or other services), it's really a non-issue since you CAN make payments with PP without creating an account and giving them links to your checking account. As I mentioned, I've been doing this for YEARS now.

How is Patreon any more secure than PayPal, and Patreon takes 8% or more.
Checks can be forged, but banks will cover you.
And he takes MOs

To be honest, it sounds like you're just being difficult and want special treatment. He takes MOs, don't be lazy, go get one.

BTW just mailing cash, well packed, isn't likely to get stolen. It's not like you're sending a huge stack internationally.
Paypal is gay though

Just send a usps money order.

Or, buy an electronic Amazon gift card. Put in his email address and he can add the funds to his Amazon account.

Or go to any store and buy a gift card and email the code.

Some of the people here make it sounds like I'm asking him to take payment in Venezuelan Bolívars or some shit. I'm simply asking if he would consider accepting a well established, reputable, 2A friendly service - that everyone else in the 2A community has been working with for at least the last half decade+. Certainly ever since Google started to demonetize the community on YouTube and PayPal banned firearm related transactions on their service.

Like I said before, when your preferred payment method excludes the head of the largest civil rights org in the state (GOAL) from membership, that's a problem. Equally telling, we're now 4 pages in and I have yet to see a single point articulated on why NES should NOT accept Patreon in addition to, or in lieu of PayPal.

@Admin can do whatever he wants - he owns the domain name and the site. IMHO, I think it's a good idea that would benefit the site and the 2A community. No one here seems to be able to argue otherwise..... So...... there it is....

Go green! 🤣

Paypal is gay though
It is gay but some of us have better things to do than punch ourselves in the dick constantly by trying to avoid using it at all costs. There are a whole bunch of random things that I pay for with PayPal that would be a pain in the ass to administer anyway else.

This isn't like going "oh that restaurant is owned by an anti let's not eat there" and you just drive a couple miles down to the restaurant that's owned by a non moonbat.

I don't give my money or use companies with a history of Anti-2nd amendment practices.

Technically, depending on how you interpret their acceptable use policy, even NES memberships paid for via PayPal would be in violation, as such memberships then afford you the opportunity to exchange firearms and ammunition. You're not allowed to use PayPal's service for transitions that relate to firearms and ammunition or firearms components. This place - feels like a relation...

So I would argue, that even accepting PayPal, carries risk of being canceled. Which is why 2nd amendment influencers do not use it.

1. I bet money that you don't really know the history deep enough of all the companies/vendors you work with to know about their 2A history, so you may be dealing with companies that are anti-2A and you're not even aware of it.
2. That's an excellent reason to use PayPal, pay as family/friends and name it someone else. You will know that you used anti-2A for 2A, kind of a "ha, ha...suckers". You could have already been green by now.

Yea... right..... they're the "suckers"... after they take your money....

When I was a PreBanBoy, my father-in-law once told me, it's not always easy to do the right thing, but you do it anyway. That's what separates those who talk the talk, from those who walk the walk.

I try to live up to his advice.

Do you really investigate every vendor for 2a puritanism? I doubt it. You're likely still a hypocrite like the rest of us. 🤣 unless you live in the woods there are commies in your economic profile.

Also do you think that shitpal is really affected by .02% reduction in base? I get it makes you feel good but most of this stuff is empty handed virtue signaling.
