Manurhin was a French firearms company that had cooperative agreements with German gun makers after WWII to provide parts and in some cases complete guns i.e. Manurhin/Walther P1s.
That 1897 Cowboy is a really nice gun and, if it is in good shape, $900 is a great price. I would snap that up in a second millisecond. If you're looking for a Marlin 22, buy that asap(!!!) if it is in good condition.
