Anyone get a Fire permit for ammo storage in New Bedford?

The way it was explained to me, 5k may be in the residence, with the balance stored in some other building on the same property. The 10k limit is per property according to my fd.

No, these limits are arbitrary and not based on actual safety to life and property. Just more obstructionist nonsense written by people with no subject matter expertise. Many other common household items are more of a concern yet unlicensed or regulated.

The fact that is per structure is at least logical by extension, but the regulations themselves are not.

Black powder is one thing, but ammunition cartridges and smokeless powder are something else entirely.

No. They type it up on a standard Dept. of Public Safety form.

Screw the permit. It does nothing but generate extra money for the town. Not needed nor would I purchase one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
