ATF E-Forms Submission wait time

I have paid then come back on Monday only to discover that I never hit the "submit" button and it was sitting there in draft status... Not that they were going to do anything over the weekend.

Wait time is currently ~48 days.

According to NFATracker.com the ATF is still approving eForm 1's sent Jan 26 and hasn't touched anything submitted in February yet. That 48 days has ballooned to 53 days and is getting worse.

Sixty. Days.

I just got my credit back from my rejected form-1 BS from end of January. Hopefully get stamp soon from resubmitted form first week of Feb.

Do u mind my asking why u got rejected ?

Yeah, it got rejected on a technicality inside their crappy system. When I submitted my AK-style product, I picked a manufacturer and validated it in Eforms. On the following page you pick a model number, and caliber. These items are pre-populated drop down menus if you have navigated the system before. So for caliber I picked "7.62x39" as it was the only drop down menu item available.

The inspector rejected it because they claim their system can only accept the prefix of calibers like "5.45" and "7.62" and to only put "7.62" into the space provided, nothing else. Even though the paper copy of the form says "caliber - be specific", I'm guessing so people can put 7.62x39 or x51 or whatever else. I ended up calling the ATF and spoke with the inspector directly to relay that I had no choice in Eforms but to pick what was there. I told him you can't just type in what you want, and he seemed dumbfounded (clearly hasn't used the product to experience it himself). Anyway, they took the manuf. code I used to look into it, and he said they would refund me and I could feel free to resubmit again and do it the "right way" [rolleyes].

What exactly do you mean?

In the box below the gun description, I was told I needed to put the place of manufacturer... I guess I'll just have to wait and see.. this whole E form leaves a lot to the imagination without any real instructions to fill it out.. guys here and youtube have been great, but it seems like I am having to bounce all over the place to get info in bits and pieces.. but then my ADHD doesn't help at all...

I used the step by step video on you tube. I submitted mine on the 23rd of last month. I don't remember a place of Manufacture box and since it's WEDNESDAY so I can look at my application. I used the pull down box to select bushmaster and it automatically populated the place of manufacture I thought?

By place of manufacture, I refer to what we have to inscribe on our receiver , our trust name and city and state.

Are you guys talking about question 4a "Name and location of original manufacturer"?

Mine says "CMMG INC, UNITED STATES"

No. eForms will pre-populate the manufacturer's location into the form after you select the manufacturer.

There's some info going around that you have to enter the maker's city and state in the "Description" box on this page:

As I stated above, I've never entered it and never had a Form denied.

yes.. that's what I understood, we put our Trust name and the city and state of the trust..

Yeah I certainly didn't put a location in the desc. They have that info already. I wrote a more verbose desc of what I was making so that it was clear to the agent what was being made.
