new trust or added to an existing NFA trust
I'll have to see if that makes a differenceNew trust. First NFA item.
My first form 1 took 2 weeks, no trust and paper prints mailed in.Seems like the trusts are going around 3 months for approval, but individual submissions are going in about a week.
It's my understanding that we can still do a form 1 after 8/1 as long as gun was registered? Maybe not I dunno, I'm probably wrongSubmitted another one on 7/23 as well.. hoping to clear it before 8/1.
Nothing specific about that but if the form 1 was submitted prior to 8/1 then clearly you have the gun. It's my understanding that we can still do a form 1 after 8/1 as long as gun was registered? Maybe not I dunno, I'm probably wrong![]()
No one knows. Worst case atf requires any form 1 submission after 8/1 proof it was legally owned prior to the cut off dateIs there a rush to submit them by tomorrow (assuming you already have the lower)?
ETA: submitted a form 1 last week. But I have another build I was thinking of sbr’ing, but I just got it today.
It appears so. Not sure why you would want to unless you want to sell it privatelySo when 10/23 comes, we can revert our SBR'd pistols back into their pistol configuration?
I visit New Hampshire frequently (once a month) and avoid bringing any NFA items because of the hassle of notifying the ATF. It would be convenient to revert my SBRs back to their pistol configuration, allowing me to carry them across state lines without notifying the ATF every time.It appears so. What rifle were they calling about? I didn’t see what happened with the MP5 MSP questions that came up earlier this year.2 for me:

Still boggles my mind, submitted within 10 minutes of each other before 7am and they get approved two days apart…
this is actually the first time the CLEO called to ask questions, I called back an hour later (at like 1pm) and they were gone for vacation…guess the questions weren’t that important…
Honestly not sure, there was a 11.5” 5.56 and 5.5” 9mm on there, the message stated they received the copy of my tax stamp application and had a couple of questions and advisories for me, called back and left a message, I’ll probably hear back in a week. What’s weird, is that I’ve done a few before and none of them have been questioned, all the exact same. End of the day everything was legally in the state before 8/1 and will comply with all regulations required, I’ll be interested as to what the questions are as wellWhat rifle were they calling about? The same thing happened to me. Earlier this year, when I SBR'd my MPX, the CLEO called and left a voicemail saying he had a few questions and wanted to speak with me. When I called him back, he told me I didn't need to send the paperwork to the Sheriff's office but to my local chief instead. Then he asked me how long the process took and what it was like since he wanted to SBR his MPX lol.Honestly not sure, there was a 11.5” 5.56 and 5.5” 9mm on there, the message stated they received the copy of my tax stamp application and had a couple of questions and advisories for me, called back and left a message, I’ll probably hear back in a week. Ha maybe that’s what mine will be like, I sent it to the local chief of police and the firearms licensing officer was the one that calledThe same thing happened to me.
