Bass Pro Ammo Availability

Was at Bass Pro last night about 6pm nothing new for ammo. I found a can of Bullseye Powder and grabbed it, last one.

Nothing new at 2:30pm. Got luck though, went to the counter to ask about primmers(Magnum small pistol only) and for some reason 2 50rnd boxs of 223 on the counter next to a display. They didnt know where is came from but I know where it went.

They just pulled out carts with federal 525 round .22's 22.99 each. .223 20 rd packs .45, .40. I did not see any 9's on the cart. Don't know the prices of the others. I just walked out with 5250 rounds of .22's.

They found 4 more of the 22 after you left. I was at the counter checking out my new M&P 40 when I saw a salesman carrying it. He asked me if I wanted any so I bought 2 of then. I then got to see a pretty big battle over the other two. Someone offered to buy my two boxes for $50 each hah.

Nothing else of interest for handgun ammo. They only had 40 left if you purchased a handgun, which I did, so I have a good amount for a while. Lots of shotgun ammo though if you need it.

I stopped by yesterday afternoon. They had an entire cart full of 100-rd boxes of 9mm, .40 S&W, .45, and 20-rd boxes of .223. They had a 10-box limit, my friend and I bought 2k rounds of WWB 9mm 100-packs @ 25/box.

Apparently they had just brought the cart up. It was all gone in less than 30 min.

it must have been a bloodbath if nobody was handing it out. 10 box limit at that price, is outstanding in this environment. You should have seen the guys getting pissed about the 2 box limits at Riley's.

I was there a few weeks back and the shelves were stocked, didn't bother to buy anything. I went in today to use up a few gift cards and there was basically nothing besides 38spc, 44mag, and some 40sw. Even the powder shelf was empty. Two of the other guys in line though were buying targets. I guess they both got there and had nothing else to buy.

My timing for ammo sucks even out of state. After a large number of flight delays today, and since I was late for my appointments anyway, stopped in the Bass Pro in Hampton VA on the way from the airport. The counter guy says haas at least a dozen boxes of bulk 22lr..and escorted me to the shelf. It was bare. He swore they were there about 5 minutes prior. Ugh.

[rofl]

Wish I lived closed to BPS!

I don't wish to live close to BP. I have almost no interest in the place and even the rare times I drive by it, I usually just drive by there and don't stop. I wasn't headed to BP, I was headed to another store (and not WM either).
