If it gets here by then for sure. 5.11 has the slowest shipping on the planet. I swear they're using 3 legged camels to move their stuff. Even if it doesn't make it by then, I can fake it with some other gear.

Going back to medical stuff.... No matter what you carry, where you carry it, or why you carry it, you should have a C.A.T. within reach if you are shooting . so small and cheap, there is no excuse not to.

Dumb question? But what is a C.A.T.?
All my neighborhood cats have disappeared, probably from my shooting

Everyone should have a CAT at home, even if you don't have a belt, or even a gun for that matter.
I always find it funny how first aid kits generally contain things to treat only the types of wounds that would be just fine with no attention at all.

this thread needs more battle belt porn
My personal view is that general first aid kits took shape well before most modern medicine when infection was a real threat and cleanliness was not as easy as we make it today. It's easy to take a warm shower and antibacterial soap for granted. I'm not saying you shouldn't dress wounds accordingly, just that dying or losing a limb to gangrene is a lot more rare today.
I said straight up in a meeting that our first aid kits were designed for 'boo-boos' and needed a complete overhaul. it got chuckles from command staff.
sorry I have no belt picture updates currently snackbah
well, my belt is finally done. I'm kind of sad in a bittersweet way.
its an HSGI belt
tactical tailor 2x pistol mag pouch
2 itw fastmags
tactical tailor roll up dump pouch mounted to the fast mags
tactical tailor medic pouch (actually i lied about being done, this might get replaced by an SOE IFAK pouch)
tactical tailor rifle pistol combo on my weak side
ESEE 3 Mil knife (AWESOME)
G-code OSH mounted on an RTI drop down panel
loving it so far.
I always go to zip ties when things don't seem to fit. Initially I congratulate myself on getting it to fit. The next day I have mounter's remorse because zip ties are not cool.
Bah, screw it. Check this out. Now, before you flame, this isn't something I'm going to bring to the range and walk around like Blade looking for vampires or Michonne (I'm not a black chick but anyways) looking for vampires. I just wanted to see how I could even mount this to a molle system. The only way I could make this work so far is just 12" zip ties. I had to get the carrier perfectly fitted to me and then trial and error to get it to a spot where you can actually draw the sword without it slicing my ear off or just being stuck in the sheath. The best thing I learned is that you have to only secure it near the top. If you try to secure it near the bottom, it won't rotate properly when you draw the sword. It's way harder than I thought. So now, I'm trying to come up with a more permanent solution for it.
It draws perfectly the way it is right now.

You should post this on the ARFcom battle belt thread, they're having a huge debate about big fixed blade knives on battle belts its pretty funny

IF this becomes something in my SHTF arsenal, I wouldn't even think about trying to keep this on a belt. It's just ridiculous and I won't even try after trying to get this to work. I have a decent SHTF type ax that I may consider mounting on the back, but that just presents an even harder problem. How do you even draw an ax from that position? You'd have to have it mounted like an AR mag in a friction based system so you can reach over your shoulder and move it horizontally, or have the grip at the bottom and the blade at the top of the carrier. I may just try this out lol.
