I just picked one of these up. I have a couple of questions. First, any hints on disassembly. I was able to pivot the take down lever, but I can;t seem to get the slide come off. I woild also be interested in finding a set of wooden gripis for it. I have to find any surching on line.

Thank you for the reply. I had already downloaded the manual from there. While it does explain the process, I am unable to take the slide off. It says it should pull off from the front once the take down pin is pivoted forwarded. I can't get it to budge. I will need to take it to where I bought it and see if they can do it.

Yes, it should just slide off once the lever is fully rotated. So sounds like there is a problem.

This is a model 70s .380 but the field stripping is very similar.

Well, not the first time I tried. But I did manage to remove it after double checking everying. Thanks for the tip though. All help is greatly appreciated.
