Best Jeans for CCW Pocket Carry?

Mitch Rosen gets my vote for the best pocket holster. He says the rubber membrane helps break up the profile. The Bullard helps my sanity knowing the safety is shrouded. IMG_4457.jpeg

This is a really good point. Even with jeans with really large pockets, drawing a pocket pistol won’t be very quick, and because of the way the pockets are shaped on jeans, if you’re seated, getting anything out of the front pockets will be an effort.
That is an important consideration. Besides the depth of the pocket, the angle that the top of the pocket is cut at makes it easier or harder to draw from (and conceal or expose the pistol).
With those jeans, you have enough room to Come On Eileen.

Is the pocket holster a big deal?

I know skinflinting on a regular holster is stupid, because the quality and comfort you get with a costlier holster makes up for the price.

In a pocket holster, to me it seems the holster needs to only cover the trigger and stay put, both when drawing and when you're walking. I've got a cheap neoprene pocket holster that I've been using for years that does both of these tasks very well.

What do I gain by going up in price / quality.

Origin.
Not cheap ($99) but 100% American materials and labor. Made in Maine and NC using NC cotton. Super comfortable and durable.

Get the work jeans, they are heavier weight and would print less. The Delta flex are awesome but lighter and print pocket change.

Does KTP carry Origin jeans ? I want to check these out.

I've tried a bunch of pocket holsters. My most carried ones have been:
  • Desantis Nemesis. Cheap and comfortable. Lost all friction after a few years and always came out with the gun. I carried my LCR in it for years.
  • Vedder Pocket Locker. Nice holster, can't really say anything bad about it. Carried a P365 in it.
  • Alabama. The best of them all. I have one for the LCR now and for my G43. I would only trust kydex if carrying a semi-auto. Alabama is slim, light, and comfortable. Has a hook that keeps it in the pocket when you draw the gun. Highly recommend it.

I know people will disagree, but I've been carrying a Keltec P3AT in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster for years and it basically does what it's supposed too. It stays put. Can't complain at all and I didn't spend much on it. I did try one of those wallet type holsters that the P3 goes into to eliminate any printing. It was very stiff and uncomfortable. Went back to the Uncle Mike's.

OK so back on a serious note, the wife and I took a ride to Deluth in Burlington MA and a good call there was a pretty substantial difference in fit and feel of their jeans. The Ballroom relaxed felt too balls baggy for me as i'm skinny and a needle dick . I ended up with the Ballroom double flex standards. Perfect fit and really comfortable. Glad you guys suggested them. FYI Deluth has a 30% off sale in store so I got 2 pairs for $105

Closest store to us is Portland, ME. I looked up the reviews for the BR jeans, and people are now commenting that the new ones are falling apart in weeks, if not hours. :(
