Other than for old crap, no. It's completely useless for anything modern.Does a collectors license also give me FFL privileges?

Crap? I can honestly say I've not bought any crap. Most if not all of those C&R purchases were very good firearms. I guess one man's junk is another man's treasure.
A lot of milsurps to me are old crap. There are a lot of gems too, don't get me wrong... but things like lugers, loise clapped out 1911s with horrible sights, a whole metric shit ton of bolt guns in weird calibers nobody uses, etc, don't do anything for me. My interest drops off sharply once i get past an M1 Garand or an SKS.
Early AR-15's are C&R qualified now. Some very cool stuff came out in the 60s and 70s.Unfortunately the golden age of C&R purchasing is long over. 15 years ago or so was the sweet spot
The thing is that C&R's are getting newer with each passing year. Stuff I bought brand spanking new in the mid-1970's will be C&R's within months!Early AR-15's are C&R qualified now. Some very cool stuff came out in the 60s and 70s.
You mean guns with shitty barrel twist rates, etc?Early AR-15's are C&R qualified now. Some very cool stuff came out in the 60s and 70s.
Wow! You're OLD!The thing is that C&R's are getting newer with each passing year. Stuff I bought brand spanking new in the mid-1970's will be C&R's within months!
Exactly! You mean guns with shitty barrel twist rates, etc?
I guess its cool if you want an early m16 like clone.
No kidding José! Only One-Eyed Jack was older.Wow! You're OLD!
I sold my Russian SKS and Russian Moisin M44. Neither had been out of the safe in a couple decades. I'd rather put that money into something I'll actually shoot. My interest drops off sharply once i get past an M1 Garand or an SKS.
YesThey did 10 years ago, and then they stopped it. Do they currently give an C&R discount?
My sweet spot was 35 years ago. Wideners used to offer major discounts on Dillon Products and a SKS could be had like new for $129.00. Mosins were $79.00 very good to excellent.Unfortunately the golden age of C&R purchasing is long over. 15 years ago or so was the sweet spot
