Yeah I was pretty surprised to hear him chime in on that. But a legal noob so maybe it’s normal?People in the know: is it typical for a judge to bring up the...political climate in a state vis a vis certain Constitutional rights?
He is following the only logic train the state left him.Yeah I was pretty surprised to hear him chime in on that. But a legal noob so maybe it’s normal?
We are getting an order. Guns in, ranges out. You heard it here first.
But it sounds like he's going to get input on ranges and have another hearing within a week.
Is there any legal significance to him using the word "impingement " rather than "infringement "? He's used it more than once"I'm satisfied that there is an impingement, a burden, on second amendment rights"
State's attorney keeps bringing up that the shutdown is "temporary"...yet the judge has already commented in the previous hearing that the "temporary" order keeps getting extended...so how "temporary" is it really?
So, when can shops start doing transfers?
So, when can shops start doing transfers?
My guess would be Sunday. They are saying 2 days, non business.
I believe this is the case. There's another hearing on the 12th.This is for the TRO yes? It will/would still go to a trial with more depth?
Sounded like the judge flat out rejected that.
He also said something about the emergency in the timelieness to respond in the prior briefing. I'd be shocked if FFL's weren't allowed to open almost immediately.
Bummer?Yep, hopefully that goes through as well. Seems like he could START with 40% and let us argue for more though? Real bummer
