We have been trying to plan for awhile a NES Shoot. We now have a date which
will be Saturday May 20th, starting after 2:00pm. The shoot will be at the Westford Gun Club.
Any that are interested please reply in this thread.

Jack,

I suggest that you Email/PM or call Ken (his contact info is in the Training Forum, instructor class thread) and ask him about HP accessibility.

I've never been to that club, so I have no idea personally.

We're going to be on the outdoor ranges. Parking is right behind the rifle and pistol pads. The rifle pad is level with the parking, and there's about an 18" rise to the pistol pad over 4-5'. I can check it our and get better information beforehand.

I'm sure all the attending NES folks that will lend a hand if needed also!

You've got that right! We're not about to leave one of our own stranded!

Come and enjoy a good time!

Ken,

Why don't you plan a "friendly competition" and provide documentation of same to any out-of-state "competitors" [wink] that want to join us so they can legally join us with their guns in MA (yes, even without a MA LTC)?

I think that Jim already has something like that set up that he uses when needed for his classes. I'll verify that it's available for anybody sho needs it.

Somehow I missed this thread about the shoot... I thought this was going to be held out west near MrsWW? Anyway, count me in, too... it's less than 45 mins for me.

Can we all go out to dinner after or lunch before? That might be a problem for the out of staters, though - aren't they supposed to pack up their toys and go straight home? [rolleyes]

What type of shooting will be going on? Will you be setting up steel or anything or just paper?
If Westford allows it, I'll grab some plastic bottles out of the recycling bin and bring them along. Ken? Plastic targets allowed?

Ross, et al:

On New Years Day, Deena and I joined Jim Conway and the rest of the crew from NEShooters.com (the instructors) at Tyngsboro F&G (1 or 2 exits North of Westford) for a "First Day Shoot". Afterwards, we all packed up and headed to Chili's in Nashua. That solves the problem for any out-of-stater under the strictest reading of the law.

Technically, stopping to eat IS allowed and not considered "delaying yourself" in PRM . . . but I can understand that some folks may be antsy with that reading of the law.

Nashua has a LOT of places to eat and isn't very far from Westford.

Based on my recent experience here with a new Thai/Szechuan restaurant (excellent food, no MSG), they also have a place in Nashua that might bear checking out.

Sure, just pick them up and take them with you afterwards. I'll look around and see if I can come up with some steel as well.

I believe that we're going to be holding some ort of "official" competition. IIRC, Jim Conway indicated that he had the bulletin all made up (from similar previous get-togethers) for those who needed it.
