What's official?

If you mean the get-together on 5/20 . . . that has been a given for some time now.

I suggest that those that need a "letter" about the "competition" contact Ken Maurer directly via PM or Email and request same. This is ONLY required for those from outside MA that do NOT have a MA LTC (anyone in the car with MA LTC will cover all guns within class of LTC, regardless of who owns them).

Additional info: I had a private Email from someone who doesn't own any guns. Most of us will have more than a few guns and are more than willing to let others shoot them, just reimbursing us for ammo used. So, come anyway and enjoy yourselves.
 
Just found out the wife has reserves, so I can make it! For those with an S&M inclination I will bring both 500 magnums.
You can shoot them all you like, but I cannot fund a bunch of ammo.

5/20 neshoot

Hello all, I have not posted in quite a while, a new baby girl,remodeling the home ,holidays--oh well. Iplan on being at WSC since I belong to that club and will bring some new toys- Para Warthog in45acp and a Beretta CX4 storm also in 45acp.
 
I'll be bringing

HK P7M8
EAA Witness .45
Ruger P95
Ruger Mark II Government Target Model
Ruger 10/22 (stock)
and if anybody is interested, I've got a beretta 1934 (.380) to bring. I wasn't planning on shooting it, but if anybody else wants to, I'll bring it.

I'd like to try a .357 revolver or two, and also a .44. I have very little experience with wheelguns, but have been itching to pick one up lately. I'd be glad to pick up some ammo for them before I go down, just post a preference if you have one.

OK, I can bring a 686P w/ a 5" bbl, and a Mod 66 with a 4" bbl. I've also got a Mod 637 which is a .38 +p snubbie if you want to try that. Let me know. As for ammo, whatever you like. If you want to shoot .357, I'd prefer something jacketed so I'm not scrubbing lead out of the bore, but if that's all you can find, no prob.

That sounds great, I'll pick up some .38's too. Although I've never looked for it before, I can't imagine the jacketed ammo being too hard to find. That's all I usually run through my guns anyway.

'll bring my 3" M65, a 3" k-frame, one pf the best CCW guns, imo. just bring some 158gr .357 or any .38's, the light .357 can cuase forcing cone damage so i don't use them.

eta- i could also bring my 340pd if you want to feel pain. i've put 1 cylinder of .357 through it, never again.

I got permission from the boss to go (it's only fair as I talked her into the womens instructional shoot the following weekend).

PM about to be sent to Ken for the "Permission Slip" [grin]

I don't own a lot of guns (yet [grin]) so I think I will bring along my glock and also my new 100yr old mauser that I just finished degunking and haven't fired yet.
 
Aw C**p, just realized I am going to have to get a couple of low-cap mags for the glock before the shoot. Crazy stupid MA gun laws.

So I can't bring high cap mags in from NH for the sole purpose of using them in competition?

eta-looking at packing.org, it looks like possesion of a high cap mag made after sept 1994 violates the state AWB. mind you i'm not a lawyer or anything, but imo bring neutered mags.

Might actually be able to make this one. My dad seemed a little enthused in meeting you all, so hopefully the date/time will work out.
 
Well, that's great news, Kalahari! Y'oughta try and get your dad to sign in on his own.

OK, maybe that's NOT such a good idea; he'd have even LESS time to shoot then! Just bring him on up to the shoot.

Go back and read some of the earlier messages in this thread. Meet other NES members; put as little or as much lead downrange as you feel like.

IMPORTANT: Anybody who plans on using a shotgun needs either slugs or buckshot. There's no birdshot allowed on the ranges we'll be using.
