GLOCK To Introduce Gen 6 In 2025

Marketing Departments are bureaucracies. As such, they follow the rules laid down by Harry Teasley.
  1. Maintain the problem at all costs.
  2. Use crisis and perceived crisis to increase power and influence.
  3. If there are not enough crises, manufacture one.
Glock introduced Gen5 in 2017. As long as we're speculating, my guess is that their marketeers are using the (relative) success of Sig's FCU design to manufacture a crisis. Since their tagline is "perfection," they can't admit there's anything on the Gen5 to improve, so they need to do something different. To put it another way:

"We're not justifying our budget! We must do something."
"This is something"
"Therefore we will do this."

I'd break her hips.
She has no hips. I mean good for ‘ol’ Gaston marrying a 30 year old when he’s 80 but we all know what that’s about. Way to go, Kathrin. I ain’t sayin’ she’s a gold digger but she ain’t messin’ with no broke n******

Is the stock trigger still going to be a pile of steaming dog shit?? Will you be able to make it any LESS of a steaming pile??
What if I told you that the stock trigger is acceptable and workable?

Hopefully they’ll have figured out how to get the f***ing thing to point naturally by gen 6.
There's no such thing as pointing "naturally", only what you're used to and what you've trained your index to.

Every one I ever tried out sucked without modification. Then again, my standard is a 1911 trigger (no more than a 5# pull, most sub 4#). It's one of the reasons I don't own any DAO pistols.

Never understood that concept outside the army. So, if you have 1 FCG and 3 frames, and you have to send the FCG in for repair, you’re short 3 pistols because you needed to save $300. I’ll just stick with my gen 3 and 4.
1) it’s cheaper. 2) how often have you had to send a gun in for repair. I’ve got 7 Glocks (and sold 2 others). The number I’ve sent in for repair: 0.

Crazy i was shooting bullets through the same jagged hole at 15yds yesterday with a completely factory gen 5... sounds like a skill issue.
No, just have standards. As I posted after that one, my trigger standard is a good 1911/2011 trigger. All of mine are no more that 4#. I've yet to test out a DAO trigger that didn't suck.

To be clear, I don't own any grocks and don't think I ever will. I MIGHT give other striker fired pistols a try, but until I find one with a trigger that isn't shit, I won't buy one.

If you're happy with the factory grock trigger, good on you.

It provides options.

A very strange idea and totally unclear why is it necessary for Glock to become sig. old trigger assembly was just fine and it was convenient that it was interchangeable parts wise across models.

It was not fully interchangeable across models. Many Glock parts could not be switched between models.

It was not fully interchangeable across models.
it was common enough, still, to know how to deal with anything from gen 1 to gen5. and not if you would _have_ to deal with triggers in glock often, if ever.
all those 'ideas' of how to solve problem that does not exist, really, makes little sense to me, if it is even true and not some usual reptiles bs.

I mean, trigger components, slides, barrels, all had to take into account what size frame you were putting the on.

Only if someone is flinty enough to go down that road. Even when I had P320s I had multiple guns.

I guess if you're willing to put up with all the disadvantages of the 1911 and focus just on the trigger, that's ok. Me, I have no problem shooting IDPA and USPSA with a stock Glock and finishing well.

Like the Ruger that is like 330 dollars right now with FCG, night sights and ANY optic ready and pistol frames that will be 30 dollars from Magpul. All made in USA.

Are Gen 6 going to cost 300 dollars...then it would be something. Wonder how much Glock will charge for pistol frames. How many optics will drop right on it with sights that cowitness?
Didn't you read the TOS when you became a member here? You're not allowed to admit that you like a Ruger semi-auto!

And a benefit of multiple FCU guns, if one is your CCW and it goes down and you have to send in the FCU for whatever crazy reason, you can swap FCUs to still have your CCW.

So true. I had a Glock for years, then didn't have one for years (because I didn't like 'em), and now I carry two. I've been reading for twenty years about how the triggers are shit and the grip angle is unworkable, and for the life of me I can't figure out what people are bleating about.

Just train more. It'll shoot fine.

Yeah... maybe it's because I was an Army shooter during my formative gun years, but getting precious about trigger pull is something I've never understood. Any trigger can be made to work just fine; it should only take minimal training and experience.

It's like guitar players who insist on Gibson over Fender because the scale length is a quarter of an inch different. Those people make me shake my head too. Is is different? Yes. Does it feel different? Yes. Is it insurmountable? No. If you want to surmount it, it's easy to do.

Go shoot a few mags; you'll do fine.

A FCG is so small, though. You can buy a bunch and hide them. You can't hide a Glock frame because it's big. Then if you need a new gun, take the FCG out of hiding and easily buy a new frame
Kinda like buying bread and milk in the hours just before a blizzard
The covid disaster has taught me one thing

I think reptile is mixing up their information. What he really means is that his new gen6 fleshlight has a removable FCU (Fap control unit) and can be adapted to dildos as well. He’s really excited to not just be a pitcher anymore, but now can try catching as well.
So, with the Gen 6 Fleshlight, that means he can use a dildo or multiple dildos to simulate a gangbang before he goes in for sloppy seconds right? Maybe even some with double penetration capability for when Reptile gets into some MMF action?

I think this is a way better idea than Gen 6 Glocks as current Fleshlights are prone to failure when shared between others.

Not that I would know about that, just what I've heard.

Shit, that's like wearing two condoms. Yeah, it's a great idea in theory so if the first fails you don't have to waste time putting on the replacement, but now you've gone limp cuz u can't feel anything.
