Gold and silver prices are down

I bought shares today at $21.07

I could have invested the $$ in so many other investments.

This is just a circle jerk.

Sorry, not sorry.

I so want it to go back to $40+

But I’ve been waiting for 15 + years.

Oh SLV sorry, got it. When gold is $2500 silver will probably be $40 or $50.

Hard to say when cause a nasty recession could take down gold and silver with it, at least initially.

2011 was when silver (and SLV) spiked.

And from 2000 to 2011 silver and gold went up 7X.

That was a bull market.

2011 to 2023 has been a bear market, silver has dropped from $35 to $23, and gold has been flat.

A new bull market has likely started. It’s reasonable to expect another 7X gain over the next decade.

I wonder if we’ve put in a floor with the fed giving up on fighting inflation?

$1985/$2000 sure looks like a new floor, after being the ceiling for 12 years. But a liquidity crisis or market crash would make traders dump gold to cover other losses, so that's always a possibility.

Don’t buy rounds just buy coins unless it’s for a really cool design. Coins are easier for buyers to identify and harder to fake, if it’s a popular design like an ASE.

Wow, that’s awesome! Isn’t that illegal though? 😂
Nope. From the mint's website:

Can I melt, drill holes through, or mutilate U.S. coins?

Maybe. It is a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 331 to alter a U.S. or foreign coin with the intent to defraud. The United States Mint cannot issue interpretations of criminal statutes such as this, which fall within the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of Justice. Furthermore, 31 C.F.R. Part 82 states that no person shall export, melt or treat any 5-cent coin or one-cent coin of the United States. However, there are a few exceptions such as for novelty, amusement, educational, jewelry and similar purposes. Your business should consult with an attorney to ensure it does not run afoul of these laws before melting or mutilating U.S. coins.

Noticed that yesterday and didn’t read it thinking it was simply site maintenance.

Hmmmm

We could be breaking through $2100 by the eoy. That would be extremely bullish but I would be happy with a yearly close of $2040 and above. We already broke an all time daily, weekly, and monthly close. Quarterly is next up.

It definitely feels like 2K has been breeched comfortably. Feels like the new norm.

Now that I've said that watch from the crash...
