Gold and silver prices are down

This is cool, never seen it on sale before. $2.89 over spot for Somali coins (minted in Germany). $374 for 20.

Maples $181 for 10, but you have to spend $1000 (60 coins) in Mass to avoid tax.

I've never paid MA sales tax on ebay purchases. I always thought that only applied to local brick & mortar purchases.

Is ebay collecting tax now, similar to Amazon?

Edit: It looks like it applies if you buy from a MA dealer on ebay. If you buy from MCM, APMEX, JM Bullion, etc..., there is no tax.

I thought it was the seller who determined whether or not tax was collected as required by the state the seller is in. For example there is a precious metals seller in Boston (Baystate something) who charges tax on purchasers who are in Mass. At least up to the $1,000 cut-off.

Yes, my links were to a gold seller who has a store in Mass.

MCM still has the Silver Maples @ $170.29 / 10 on eBay. I just grabbed some.
I grabbed one as well. Solid deal.

Do you guys only buy govt. minted coins or do you also buy generic rounds and bars by independent mints?
I have been stacking Gov coins (US, CN, GB, AU, etc), but came across a 50oz bar I got for spot. I'll probably get some Buffalo rounds next month.

Anyone ever buy from silver.com? They seem like they have good prices
Silver.com and JM Bullion have the same distribution center. Makes me think they are actually one in the same.... I use JM all the time, and once in a great while Bullion Exchange. Other than that, eBay.

If it goes below $14, I'm buying again this weekend.
